I'd like to point out that you live in Goderich. Granted it's not the American south where we queers are crucified hourly, but as far as I know (and I could be wrong) there isn't much of a gay scene. He could be in the closet. There's been a number of times, especially at work that I've told people I'm going to see the girlfriend. Aside from your love of gaming you don't know each other that well so there is a possibility that he could be lying to you because he's trying to stay in the closet or whatever. Even if he is going to see the girlfriend he could be bi. Whatever happens you've hopefully made a friend at least.

Yeah...he could be "bi" and if he is....I don't know how I'd feel about that. (if him and be decided to date. This is only what if mind you!! Cause I've been burned by a bi guy before and it was bad.)

Anyways I give in point form what I learned from him in our 1 hour and 45 min talk (covering two days)

1. He owns PS3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii, and a kick ass gaming computer.
2. His favourite food is Lasagna followed by Pizza (Canadian Classic)
3. His first name is Matt. I also know his last name
4. He likes to play elves or did when we played magic. He hasn't played in years
5. He lives at home with his dad, mom and he has I think he said two younger siblings (boy and girl)
6. He loves horror movies. The b'er the grade the better!
7. Drive his own car....model and year I forget now!
8. He loves living here in Goderich..
9. Hates working at wal-mart but work is work
10. He plays his DS, followed by the Wii then PS3. The xbox he only has Halo 3 for and he hates it but he plays it cause his friends do.

I could go on and on but I'll stop there! :)

I be out there next week and he should be back. See if he asks me any questions regarding my personal life. I'm going to be totally honest with him about everything cause if he has a problem with gay people then best to get it out of the way now! ;)

I remember you telling me about this the other night Am so sorry it did not work out. But atleast you found out some critical information about him that he has a GF. And now you atleast have a pretty idea that he's straight/or maybe bi. And like I said the other night you can still gain his friendship and there's potential there to become good friends:-).

Your a wonderful guy Greg and you have helped me out alot and I truly appreciate everything.(*8*) And I know one day you will find that special someone just never give up...|

Ouch. You are wrong.

Not to get too far off topic, but in the US, rural areas tend to be less tolerant while urban areas tend to be more liberal. It doesn't matter whether the state is in the north or the south.

To give you a really good example, Florida is a southern state. The northern half of Florida is very conservative while the southern half of the state is home to Miami, Ft Lauderdale and Key West.
 
UPDATE

Ran into him again.....could not talk long. He seemed sad to see me go. I asked how his week with his girlfriend was and he said it was great...but that his hard drive failed on his computer when he got back.

Then a customer came up to him and I took my que to leave before my ride left! I did say goodbye. He never added me to Xbox or made any attempt to find out about me. So maybe just walmart buddies and not even friends.

who knows.

Ran into another guy....smiles, laughs, etc. Spent the whole night with me playing magic at our local hobby store. Go out for coffee with him and a few other people and he sits beside me and everything.

Text me tonight to go for coffee with him alone. I get excited.

Talks about his girlfriend for the majority of the hour. Thank god she calls him and he has to go pick her up.

God damn it!! Who do I have to blow to get a relationship with a guy (a gay guy that likes me for me ) around here?!!!
