Sure - if you eat 2000 calories a day and make sure to do some exercise, you will drop pounds.

I fail to see how that's McDonalds' doing - his promotion is just as irresponsible as the documentary he's attempting to counter.

This just proves how faulty the entire concept of "diets" is. Eating one specific food or type of food has nothing to do with losing weight. As long as you burn more calories than you consume, it ultimately doesn't really matter where those calories come from. You WILL lose weight. Nutrition is an entirely separate issue, however.

Cutting calories + exercise = losing weight no matter what you eat, even if it is McDonald's. He was probably starving though. I don't imagine there are many ways to get 3 full meals a day out of McDonald's while not going over 2,000 calories and the maximum recommended amount of fat. I'd guess lots of salads with no dressing and apple slices made up he bulk of most of his meals.

How one doesn't get tired of eating all that McDonald's junk is the bigger mystery.

I lost 30 pounds in 3 months and still losing while gaining muscle. How did I do it? The old fashioned way, salads and celery. Of course I would eat a sensible meal and eat my protein.

Actually no, he made it a specific point to use every item on the menu balancing the portions accordingly.
