Ok, I have recently ran out of a medication that I take and out of refills. I have no insurance currently so it will cost me a fortune to go back to the doc.

With that being said, have any of you had any luck with those online pharmacies? What do you think? I don't want to order and find out I am taking meds for dogs or something.

I think you should call your dispensing physician, explain your current circumstances and ask him/her for a supply of samples. Most physicians are given large quantities of freebie samples from the various pharmaceutical reps.;)

I sent you a PM...

But as additional information -- a LOT of drug companies offer DISCOUNTED PRICING if you can show financial hardship -- they usually have an 800 number to call -- you can PROBABLY find it online...

BEST OF LUCK to you...

:):):)

Mattat,

GO right to the website of the makers of the meds you are taking and there you will see "IF" they participate in direct patient participation for those in need....

Like say Merck.com, etc, look up and fill out their forms and let them know the reasons why you are unable to pay.......

I know people who have received free meds doing this and NOT being embarrassed by going to "welfare" and doing it that way!

Good luck and don't wait around, just do it! K?(*8*)

Go to a clinic. Even in the US there must be a way for uninsured people with recognized medical conditions to get care.

Otherwise...your doc can likely repeat re-fills if it is something you need to continue taking. If it was a med that required reassessment of a condition before the scrip was repeated, you're going to have to tell your doc that like millions of others in the US, you have no current insurance.

But isn't this what Medicaid is for?

why wouldn't the pharmacy just contact the doctor to see if the script needs refilling.

mine does when i run out and they seem to have no problems filling it.

is it different in the US???

Don't worry about pet medications, they are the same as human medications and I understand that some people do order it for their pets and take it themselves. It's the same medicine, but priced much cheaper for the pet. I would be more worried about getting fake meds.

I have purchased meds for my mother in the past from Canada and it was a lot cheaper. This was in NJ and they passed a law that they could not sell meds to NJ from Canada any longer.

Online is cheaper, they have less overhead, good luck, but try these other options that people have suggested first.

mattad go to the county health department where you live. You may be eligible for state and county paid health care, even if you have an income they may still be able to help you. Depending on your finances your co-payment should be between $0-$5 dollars it is well worth checking into. Good Luck

i think you should speak to your pharmacy, explain your situation, and then ask them to contact your doctor for a refill. it's worth a try even though you know that this is not a common practice in your pharmacy. good luck, hope you get your medication.

Thanks everyone! Great advice!!! I'll let you know how it works out.

If you know anyone in canada they can get meds much cheaper there. I hope you are ok.

I have a serious problem and my doctor said the only cure is see Jayden's cock - that will help fight off my sickness. He said the only cure is to shove it down my throat and swallow his hot cum - that will completely cure me!
