So, I'm booked to attend the "Remove the Regime" protest at DC on Nov. 22, from noon to 4:00 p.m..

But, I'm proposing a Meet & Greet in DC any time from Thursday evening to Sunday. You don't have to attend the protest, but you're welcome.

I've been to DC maybe four or five times. I enjoy the museums, some good restaurants, cool bookstores, and generally peoplewatching on DuPont Circle on on mass transportation.

Not presuming to call it a JUB Meet, but would be happy to see anyone who'd like to meet for coffee, touring, talk, walk, protest, or shopping.

Any takers?

If there are more gathered than either of his inaugurations, it will drive him to distraction.

Won't it be fitting if one of the big names tweets: Big protest in DC on November 22nd! Be there! It will be wild!

Thank you for the invite to DC. As a retiree I'm planning my Holiday spending carefully.
I am in shock as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Starbucks and UPS are all going employee free this season.
Wish me luck Jason as I try to be of some help to my truly upset neighbors.

I understand. My air fare was under $250 for a direct flight from my little airport, but the pentagon and NASA spend plenty of time back and forth between Huntsville and DC, hence the direct flights (under 2 hours). In today's jacked up air fares, that's a huge savings, not to mention avoiding a layover and transfer.

Plus, I honestly don't think I'd do it if I had to fly all the way from the West Coast. I did several times from Albuquerque, and I'm not sure I'm doing that lightly again.

Now, just hoping the shutdowwn is over before then so flight controllers are all on post and missing connecting planes are not throwing off flights.

Ok but first.

Post a picture of yourself totally naked wearing nothing but fish net stockings and a little red lipstick while you're in the kitchen making a homemade peach cobbler.

Then I'll decide.

Best I can do is a pic from last summer when I was sunbathing on the prow at the marina in Tulum:

The US government shutdown shows no signs of ending and it has me wondering why the Social Security Administration, SSA, is flooding me with messages. I'm imagining SSA employees working from home with no pay, sending emails across the country to calm beneficiaries.

I'm not convinced. All my Holiday plans are on hold, my attempt to save money.

I wish I could.

I have wanted to meet you for years. Also before my uncle died we were supposed to go to DC.
If you don't get to DC, I'll make a run to Oregon soon after I get sold and moved out of Alabama. I know we'll enjoy cooking and going about.

I'll be there Friday 11/21.

Although I despise the Trump administration, I don't like huge crowds. I'll skip Saturday.

I'm PMing NotHardUo, and hoping for lunch or dinner together. Anyone else?

That's great to hear, Thad. I don't like huge crowds either, but I'm yet hoping there is one, despite rain forecasted for Saturday. I fly tomorrow and back Sunday, so I'm looking forward to the trip and meeting you.

Had a wonderful time with Thad today enjoying museums, good food, sore feet, and sharing our stories. It is ever nice to connect with a JUB friend in person. I already know it is the highlight of my trip (assuming our protest doesn't bring down the Regime today or tomorrow.)
