Hey All,

I'm American but I've lived in London for the past 7 years, ever since college.

Anyhoo, I was born and grew up a practicing Muslim.

Realized I was gay, father disowned me, but the rest of the family showed me love.

I'm a firm beliver in the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)and the teachings of the Holy Qur'an but I am also a proud gay man.

I dont go to the mosque that much anymore, because these Imams are homophobic assholes.....but I still belive in Allah all that?

Can ya understand or is it too complicated?

Asalamu Alaikum

there are about ten of us here, but we aren't really made to feel welcome discussing our faith in most forums. remember that this is an amreican/canadian site and while the site owners welcome everyone, they cannot controll the membership...

Jwest, Candleboy, Rafik... those are a few of them that are as open about our faith as I am but that is it

I would strongly suggest you limit your comments in regards to your faith to this forum. the mod in charge here is a sweetheart and this forum is a no flame zone. You will be challenged occasionally by some fundamentalist christians in here, but by and large it will be respectfull.

I strongly suggest you also stay as far away from CE&P as posible. They regularly and roundly thrash muslims in there.

I understand the conflict and difficulty you have

I travelled to Iraq and syria last year, and it was hard swallowing some of the things I was hearing.

I have tried to forge my own path and I think I have done a good job.

I am an Ijtihadist

check out my blog... feel free to leave messages on any blog entry !!

I hope you participate here at JUb in the future... we need each other to find our way

Welcome kinki.(*8*) Regarding the Imam Issue. They can be pretty cool. I hang out with them pretty often when I was young (In hometown).Especially During Ramadhan (Doing Taraweeh). They are pretty nice. But I didn't reveal my true colors though. If I were to reveal, it'd be to the Masjid's Counselor.

oh so your THAT muslim gay... gotcha... a lil advice... stay away from andreus.... he is a trouble maker...

this one time... he tricked me into putting his penis in my mouth by telling me it will help me with my people skills... but i ended up just staying home all night with it in my mouth and i didn't meet anyone new :(

and this other time he tricked me into letting him stick his penis in my ass by telling me he was gonna help give me a good work out... but i couldn't walk for a week after

yep... he is a trouble maker

*the previous statement may or may not be completely truthfull... I withold my right to dream* :p

kinkikiki, welcome to JUB. Most everyone here has to deal with their own personal issues with their existence and the teachings from the particular religion they are. some get through it and others just become hateful. I do hope you enjoy your stay here.
BTW - I get a kick out of saying kinkikiki.

I think you'll find people most interested in the Islamic faith and of course, the added complexity of being a gay Muslim.

Don't hate us until you get to know us all. (THEN you can hate us).

Advice Taken....The mantra of the gay muslim is quite overwhelming to say the least....#-o

At the Masjid Al Jaq in West London, there are some pretty cool imams there, me and my partner hang out there when we visit mosques....

I also find the counsellors generally receptive there too.

Welcome to this forum. I am a progressive christian but learned a lot about Islam through a Muslim friend. I wish to learn and understand more. I think it is much harder to be gay and muslim than those of other religious beliefs. Let's learn from each other.

hi iam muslim from egypt my english too bad but i hope if you can put another foto (allaa) this isnt good thing to put the ward her thanks

is it even possible to be gay and a Muslim. I mean, no offense but isn't that the reason that the Muslim terrorists want to kill all Americans because we allow homosexuality into our society and that is against the Islamic religion?

Please, all those of Islamic faith, please post much and teach and share and enlighten and inform. And our responses I pray will be ones of learning, of growing community, of a speaking of the love that is at the center if our faith as you share that at the center of yours. And none will convert the others, for that is not ou aim, but that we know and understand and with compassion, insights, and love, accept and value and see the teachings of our God in the teaching that are new to us so that our faiths find enlightenment, this is my prayer.

I believe that all of Islam, Judaism, Christianity in some way or other formally condemn homosexuality. However, as with people the world over, there are gay Muslims, Gay Jews, and gay Christians - some exteremely devout. It must be a hard thing, though, to reconcile your sexuality with your faith.

Do you know the website: http://www.al-fatiha.org/ for gay Muslims?

You were joking weren't you, please tell me you were - otherwise this is the most disturbing analysis of current world events I have read to date.

^Christians and Islam have so much in common.

I was referring to this bit of the quote:
the reason that the Muslim terrorists want to kill all Americans because we allow homosexuality into our society and that is against the Islamic religion?
That's way down the list of reasons given.

(but this is diverting the thread, for which I apologise)
