Okay before you say this belongs in religion this post is not quite about the religion.

I am a member of the LDS church and have been for about 3 years. I loved meeting with the missionaries and continued to do so even after a year of being a member. I stopped because I could no longer take missionaries coming & leaving ( they get transfered alot) I have gotten very much attached to 3 missionaries who I still keep in touch with & another whom I preety much fell in love with. So , randomly about 6 months after I stopped meeting with them, two missonaries show up & want to talk about setting up a meeting . One of them was a cute latino guy so I said yes. ( I will call them Elder 1 & Elder 2 with Elder 2 being the latino guy) We had one meeting & the next time we scheduled to meet Elder 2 got transfered (but, they told me he was going to be transfered anyway so I was expecting that 1) & he left and another real cute guy took his place (i wasnt to fond of Elder1 missionary at first) so this new guy (ELDER 3) was real cute & I was liking him but everytime we met I just got the feeling he didnt care for me much. He was nice & polite & everything but he just had a vibe to him that screamed I dont like you. So over time me and Elder1 sort of became closer. He would call me randomly just to see how my day went. When they came over to meet, Elder 1 would stay beyond the meeting time (which forced elder 3 to stay as well) to ask about my life & just bond. When I got sick he was basically calling & coming over my house everyday to see how I was doing (i know mormons usually are helpfull but Elder 1 went above & beyond for me) & I was really touched by him & for some reason he started looking good to me. He is not a bad looking guy just average but since we grew closer it just made him that much hotter. I do not think he is gay but I sure fell for him and he would touch my leg sometimes I would touch his and we would hold hands sometimes while simply just talking I just felt like  lol. I also hugged him before he left a meeting ( that alone felt like heaven). So one day we planned to watch a movie next week and suddenly he was transfered it sounds very fishy to me because when i met with Elder 3 & the new elder 4 Elder 3 was beyond excited & upbeat.

Okay now for the questions.

1) Has anyone else here developed & attraction to the missionaries? I hope I'm not alone & please share your story if you have 1 lol

2) Do you think Elder 3 had anything to do with getting elder 1 transfered?

Thankx so much for reading I just needed to talk to someone about this
luv you guys (*8*)

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

I may be wrong.. but isn't being gay one of the things they really stand against?

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

I'd be very careful about falling in love with a Latter-day Saint missionary. It's all but certain that you will get nothing but heartache out of it. These missionaries generally aren't gay, and if they are, are so deep in denial that they could not have a healthy relationship with you.

Of course, its just my opinion. Have you seen Latter Days by the way? Great movie!

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

hey thanx for responding

yea I know that we (me & the missionaries I come in contact with) will never full on admit we have feelings for each other but we dont need to lol we can feel it and we know that actually acting on it would not be the best choice especially while serving a mission so

but I still need opinons on the particular situations lol

Do you all know that the Book of Mormon is a book of fiction and a lot of Mormons are just enjoying the ride? I mean, a lot of Mormons have figured out from abundant secular literature, that the Mormon epic about ancient America never really happened. But it's a nice society for a lot of people.

heyyyyyyyyy i said this thread wasnt about the religion lol
nehoo the mormons are nice & friendly ppul
and at times their logic does make sense and if ppul can belive other versions of what is truth (other religions ) then we can belive in mormonism as well

nehoo this is about my interactions with these missionaries lmao

So I just wanted to say that I think this is some of what is wrong with religious beliefs. There aren't different versions of truth. There is only one truth. The mormons may have some things correct, but there are a lot of things they very obviously have incorrect (pretty much everything about early American history, as someone already pointed out). I just think it's important to stay grounded in reality and have beliefs you know are at least not false, even if you don't know they are true.

As for your predicament with the Mormon missionaries... I really don't think the best way to pick up guys is by seeing Mormon missionaries. The Mormon men I have met are all somewhat gay-acting. I'm not sure why, but they all kind of are. But most of the time they're actually straight and just more sensitive than most straight men of other cultural backgrounds. Anyways, you could find gay men to date that would not bring so much baggage along pretty easily, so why bother with the missionaries?

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

Awhile back I had a couple of these guys come over to my house a lot. I always just assumed they were very bad missionaries because really all they ever did was hang out and play video games.

I wasn't interested in hitting on them, but one of them was eye candy. Even if I had been interested, what would have been the point. Neither of them was going to stick around for long, they were really young, they were not gay, and if they were, then deep in the closet from a church that's kindest thought about gay people is that it's a sinful choice. Why are you bothering? Why are you putting yourself through that?

No offense to the OP, but we are once again in a thread about gay men asking advice about the impossible love of a straight guy.

The previous post has already given you the only reasonable advice. You'll either take it or you won't.

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

Have you seen the film "Latter days?"

Good treatment of what happens when a Mormon Missionary meets the right guy.

Re: Meet W/ LDS Missionaries (opinions wanted)Semi

What, a cliche Cinderella plot occurs?

Mormons aren't very popular on this forum; but most of us recognize that being gay doesn't have the boundaries people think it does; HAPPENS EVERYWHERE.

So, have fun, be careful. Missionary-ing is hard work!
Remember there's all kinds of Mormons besides the nice ones.

Please do not talk to me as if I am co-signing on everything mormons embody.
I am getting that vibe. I do not belive there is one truth and if there is, a whole heck of alot of people have trouble agreing with that notion. Most religions "have somethings correct". I'm very well grounded in my beliefs and what I digest from the church ( or any other church) and elements outside of it. As far as the history goes it would not be the first time history was inacuratly presented or altered to fit someone or something's agenda.

I am not picking up guys or trying to. I love meeting with the missionaries & by me being attracted to guys I tend to get a bit misty eyed over some of them. How many missionaries have you met? You seem to be very-much generalizing about them acting gay. Ive met with over 28 of them so far only about a handful were effeminate and/or gave off a gay vibe. What is your interpretation of them acting gay? All of them are nice & polite Imo No where in this thread did I say I wanted to date a missionary LOL Wouldn't mind it if it happened though

Omg, how rude & ignorant I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with my situation Never did I ask "how do i get this guy" or "will i have a shot at getting him" Youve totally taken this thread out of contex

What on earth did you expect? You're wondering if anyone of us has ever fallen for a straight guy? You can’t answer that question yourself? Go read the thousand and one other threads on the exact same subject in here.

Do you actually know what their official stance on being gay is? Church doctrine is not decided by a few bad apples.
