Well, kinda. It's a remake. Wasn't the entire Melrose Place complex blown up on the series finale back in the 90s?

Anyways, Ashlee Simpson will be one of the actresses on the new show, which starts in the fall.

Any news on Heather Locklear? I'm assuming Marcia Cross won't be making any appearances since she's with DH...They seem to be the most memorable characters from the show

Matt was played by Doug Savant in the original show. And he was a Gay character. I think he is generally regarded as being one of the first Gay characters in a TV sitcom, at the time.

Firstly... The apartment building was blown up, but only the right side of the building sustained serious damage. The entire left side remained intact. The building was renovated and revamped later on in season 4.

Oh and Matt is dead. According to another character he died off screen in a car accident.

Kimberly played by Cross won't come back either. She died in season 5.

I don't consider these spoilers as the show ended 10 years ago.

I look forward to the reboot. A little ticked about Sydney dying (again). Oh well. At least she comes back for one last appearance.

Another stupid remake TV series. I used to watch the original 90210 and Melrose Place.

I don't like the new 90210 and don't watch it. It'll probably be the same for the new Melrose Place as well.
Whatever happened to original ideas. Same TV shows, movies, and Broadway shows remade over and over again.
I guess if Aaron Spelling were still alive maybe he could create a new show idea.
