Men concealing their age

I really don't get it if anyone wants to conceal their age. For girls they tend to mind a lot when they don't look their age or get told they look old. But I thought that for guys it was the other way round? The older the guy the hotter  Some of my friends always gets so sensitive when we talk about age + dating.

It's kinda annoying when they can only see themselves dating someone their age or just one year of difference. then they judge you when you don't feel the same way.

This is why you have so many silly high school dramas when you only limit yourself to dating someone your age :spank:

I don't think being hung up on age is that exclusive to gays. I have friends of mine around my age who get hung up on it. My best friends g/f tends to comment on age difference, even when it comes to a difference that I tend to think is relatively small. Like 20-30.

It most certainly isn't limited to gays, for sure. Has no one heard of a midlife crisis? Has no one SEEN a midlife crisis? When your overweight 54 year old boss starts gelling his hair and gets a ferrari and starts going on joyrides? It's embarrassing. But it's normal.

May I have a ride in your ferrari?

I am proud of my age...55...no effort at all to conceal a thing. I earned it.

One more thing...I hear alot of people say that life is over after 30 when you are gay and someone needs to call that what it is...a complete load of crap.

I know it can't be true for me because I didn't have a life before 30 either! :D

Me too haha and I am 22. My friends are telling me to get laid now/ go to a random gay club and pick a guy or I will be single for eternity. ;)

I have no problem telling my age, though I do have a problem being my age. As for life being over at 30, I have no idea how that works out for most people. Never had a life before 30, and haven't had one since either...

I find it really weird for men not to tell their age. Not accusing women to be not confident about aging, but it's just that women usually conceal their age, not men.

But two weeks ago, when I was interviewing a man whose mother was a patient, it became a strange experience.

Me: "Your age, Sir?"
Him: "I'm old."
Me: "How old?"
Him: *chuckles* "You need not know."
Me: "I have to. I need to make a pedigree."
Him: *chuckles again* "All you need to know is I'm definitely older than you."
Me: *frowns*

For me it's weird. A man, afraid to let people know him age? Puzzling :?

How about you? Do you know any man or guy who refuses to disclose their actual age?

What's a pedigree?

Seems like he's not even willing to tell his age for the benefit of his mom (if that was the case)?

And pardon my ignorance, but why do you need to know the exact age to do a pedigree? Isn't it just a family tree?

The easiest thing you can do to look younger is keep your hair colored. Grecian formula will keep out the flecks of gray then one of the shampoo in colors.

^It relates to the family cycle and possible health problems etc etc family medicine thing  anyway I have been lashed multiple times by my supervisor(s) for either not including the age OR the age when someone died in a pedigree that I stopped being disobedient.

Anyway, beachguy, you have your answer.

I hear alot of people say that life is over after 30 when you are gay and someone needs to call that what it is...a complete load of crap.

This reminds me of an episode of Queer as Folk when Brian reached 30 and the gang made a birthday surprise in a form of funeral procession - wreaths, black clothes, and a tombstone-shaped cake

^Actually, pedigree is [roughly] a family tree complete with the disease and deaths and any blood/marriage relationships. Taking medical history is called taking an anamnesis.

Now that I think about it, I should've said genogram instead of a pedigree. It's a more appropriate term #-o

I know...which is why I asked, why would you need to know the age of the son? I mean you don't need that to formulate a family tree...

^ ok nevermind, i just read your post about your supervisors being on you for not including the age lol

I think over 50 very few conceal age because what difference does it make...to young people they are "obviously ancient" 45 65 85 ...same thing to a 21 year old...you might as well be 140. But under 40? HUGE concealment and 39 is about the peak....SO many guys 39...39 ...39....39....(but they are 45)....29 is another peak...sometimes even more desperate....but 49...nah...who cares?

I'm one of those insecure people who hides my real age. It seems that once you hit 35, you're a has been in the gay community. So I try to hold on to it as long as I can. Fortunately, I've been blessed with good genes and could actually pass for younger than 35. I know it won't last forever though. I'll deal with it in time.
