I have a Scotch heritage and I have no desire to wear a kilt, or any sort of old-fashioned traditional Scottish clothing, or even the tartan pattern of the clan I have a direct heritage from.

It's just like how I also have an Italian heritage and I would not dress up like a Roman centurion, or in the traditional clothing of the region of Italy I have a heritage from.
