Men who shave body hair

I don't think body hair makes someone manly. I've seen lots of queens who are hairy and have a full beard.


Some guys shave their body hair because they spend a lot of time in the gym and the hair covers up the definition on their body. I think some guys look better trimmed than completely shaved but some guys just look better smooth.

Because all the male DNA is in the hair. When you shave it, you actually become more woman than man. The fact that the balls, penis etc. is still there, doesn't really count. Also, lack of hair actually increases the risk of "gay lisp" and limp wrists. Explaining the science behind it can get a little tedious, but those are proven facts.

There does seem to be a culture of waxing and styling amongst some gay men and then a direct opposite, of men who are burly and rugged and haven't plucked a hair in their life.

Exactly! Society tries to genderise people too much into an unnecessary 'battle of the sexes', making those who don't meet the 'manly' or 'womanly' forms feel insecure. Ideas like 'real men have hair' and 'if you shave you're weak and pathetic' are hurtful.
Hair shouldn't be a symbol of 'masculinity'. How hairy someone is tends to come from their ethnic background and climate.
The ancient greeks were known to be quite hairy, yet thought to be inferior in strength compared to romans...i think.

I'm sure Roman's were just as hairy. If you shave your hair because you are gender confused than it does make you less manly. If you shave because you don't want to be viewed as a man than it is not masculine. If you're shaving your body down other than for a competition than don't you think that says something? No offense but you have more of a fem look to you. Do you shave your legs or chest?

If society had not changed the idea of what makes men manly, then only men who have beards and multiple wives would be considered men. I don't think it has to do with whether shaving certain body parts is feminine or not. It's just a style/trend thing. Some have grown to find it attractive. Others not. How long it will last? Who knows. When did woman start feeling obligated to shave their legs and armpits? Obviously, men (het.) found them attractive before that trend started. Some, no doubt still do.

Whatever ones opinion of body hair, the marketing to encourage shaving and thus a huge increase the consumption of blade and shaving products has been very effective. Whether it's true or not that shaving your pubic hair will make "it" look bigger is irrelevant. The shaving industry wants you to think that hair is yucky and that you'll get more babes if you use their products. The shaving industry knew what a cash cow woman were (with legs and underarms) that they couldn't wait to coerce men to shave a whole lot more than their faces. Gay men may have started the trend, but smart marketers know that gay men start many trends. Like it or not, you might buy P & G stock.

Yes , there are. Body hair doesn't make you any more or less masculine or fem. It's all in how you carry yourself.

It's amazing to me how many queens think that they're more masculine because they grew a beard or have body hair. I've also known many "bears" who are extremely fem and sometimes they're completely unaware that they are.
