Men's High Fashion Thread

The last suit you posted on the second set is actually pretty cool. I'd rock it. Some of the other stuff is a bit much. I'm not too out there, but I'll still pay up for some Rock & Republics and a nice shirt. Looking good makes me feel good, so that's how I justify it.

I try not think about all of the starving mouths I could feed if I bought some Wrangler's and a "It's not a beer belly, it's a fuel tank for a sex machine" shirt and donated the difference.

I also think that if you dress nicely (not necessarily expensively) and stay classy people just throw a little more respect your way....

Out of all the pictures posted, I'd say this outfit would be the closest to my style in real life.
Even post-op? :p

I like the purple turtleneck in the first post! :D

I generally wear jeans and t-shirt or sweater, depending on the weather. I hate gettign dressed up. The only instance where I put form over function is shoes--I tend to wear boots that make me at least an inch taller.

i must be a slob because i just don't see myself wearing such high end garments. i tend to wear just jeans, tees and polos. although i have to say that one of the main reasons i've been loosing weight is because i would love to own a nice suit. do i need one? no, not really but i have always wanted a nice suit.

I am huge fan of paul smith. Ever since I bought a shirt from barney's there, I just love his style. Would love to buy a suit from him but alas, I do not have $2.5k+ or £1400 for one.

High Fashion? Yes? No?

H&M, C&A. I really like the stuff of those guys

What do you guys think of ethnic clothing?

I have a bunch of traditional clothing from India. My friend gives me some every time he comes back from India and every Christmas. It is so comfortable. I love to wear it. Part of me would love to wear it out going to regular places but I have not felt comfortable enough to try it yet.

Well...

The runway models are just 'conceptual examples'.

No one expects the public to dress that way, but what any show suggests is the colors and cuts and hemlines that are coming up in the next season.

In this case, Spring '09.

Gray will be huge this year. Loose fitting sport jackets, muted purples and yellows....

"Deconstructed" is the buzz word, and it shows in the loose fitting couture...

Fashion follows function. Function is reflected and designed by the economic times of the day.

meh

Things will get better.

with the exception of the suspenders and the feather pants, I think any of the other outfits are just fine for an evening out...especially for a nice evening out in LA.
