I got mine at the mall near me today they were doing a giveaway free. I think I'm off work that day which is April 8th which would be nice to see. Have you got yours?

No, I don't have mine and I am hoping that they become widely available before that day. I am not sure where to look for a pair.

Plenty of helmets and goggles in my welding equipment/supplies.

But, I'd be much more interested in what happens on Earth, anyway. The birds and other wildlife, pets, the calm, the quiet, the confusion, and so on.

I wonder if people will need their morning coffee and doughnuts after the eclipse. :)

No, I intend to stare directly at it unprotected until my corneas burn and I see God.

Yes. Traveling to Dallas for the eclipse. Went to Salem, Oregon to see the last one. Astonishing and profoundly moving.

Been there. Looked up. Now I am blind.

Seriously...I have seen at least 2 in my lifetime and meh.

I wouldn't cross the street to see it let alone across country. I am counting on it being cloudy here in Ontario that day.

I have some from the last eclipse. I will probably drive to somewhere around Carbondale, Illinois, unless the weather is bad.

I see that we get a 99% eclipse anyway....

It's probably fake, anyway. Or, they just don't want anyone to know that the moon is flat, too.

Of course not! It's 2024. No one goes outdoors anymore to see natural phenomena. Everyone just looks at the pictures on the Internet! (Preferably while taking a break between watching cat videos and seeing pictures of people's breakfasts.)

I think the only one I got excited about was one that took place when I was in elementary school. And I honestly don't even remember much about it. I remember the fuss. I vaguely recall them having live TV at school so we could see something about it. And my father made a viewing device out of a shoe box that allegedly would allow safe viewing (at least by the standards of that era). I mainly recall that thing lying around for years on a shelf in the hall closet. I have no memory of it actually being used.

Damn. We won't be able to see when it gets dark.
Don’t laugh. I actually had to explain to someone at work that it would still get dark if it was a cloudy day.

Although I have friends in the path of totality, I'll be to the south, in Nashville.

I'll probably see the partial eclipse.
