Because they are easier to read as a single post, versus 6 or 7 single posts. On single posts, only the last one (or maybe two) posts are seen. The rest are ignored. Merging them into one post vastly increases the chances that a visitor will see all the photos you've offered. Why do my single posts end up in single post strings?
Interesting theory, and I get the reasoning behind it. However, in all the other threads I'm active in, my single posts each get their own likes/ratings and comments. Each image gets its own reaction. The reader/visitor is able to discriminate between what they like, and don't like, on an individual basis, instead of being limited to liking an entire group, or not. I haven't seen many being skipped.Because they are easier to read as a single post, versus 6 or 7 single posts. On single posts, only the last one (or maybe two) posts are seen. The rest are ignored. A set of single posts is as easy to read as a string in a single post. It's simply a matter of scrolling.
Personally, I will scroll back to where I last posted in a thread in order to see everything that's been posted since. (Don't want to miss anything!![]()

When posts are merged, all "Likes" are combined into the merged post; none are lost. It really isn't a matter of just scrolling. People default to the latest post (in fact, that's what our boards do as a whole) and they look at that. They may scroll up one of two, but that's it. Thus, if you post several posts in a row, only the last one or two are actually going to be seen by most. Moreover, it prevents someone who has posted prior to you from being seen because people just do not scroll up that far. You are able to post 10 images to a post, and it's cleaner to do it that way.Interesting theory, and I get the reasoning behind it. I appreciate that viewpoint. However, you can still "like" single pictures in posts by replying to that pic and saying why you like it. That's what most do.I prefer the single posts - as mentioned that way I can "like" only the ones that really work for me.
