You may want to not use them all the time because even though they aren't habit forming, you can get a psychological dependence on them.

why do gay men react differently to poppers than straight men? A gay guy does it and gets mega horny and a straight guy does it and has a fit. Seeing some vids on xtube it makes me curious to try it but how safe is it?

Poppers are great. I don't know where racer2438 is getting his information but I have done poppers many times and always had a great time, as have many of my friends.

BUT your information about their effects is a little off. They do not have a different effect based on your sexuality. Maybe you perceive this because in gay culture they are a drug used most often in sexual situations.

Like Chinchilla I have used poppers on occasion over the years. Just make sure use them as directed. I had straight friend who loves them.

I started on poppers about a year ago or less after going for so long denying them to no end. It sucks they are 15 a bottle now. However I have noticed that I have become more dependent on them... The boost, just is amazing. The guy I have met sometimes does them ENTIRELY way too much. To the point where I'm completely turned off and extremely concerned.. But he only does this when Drunk, thankfully... Im limiting or no more. They get scary when doing too much. If you do, please only take a quick sniff at first until you get adjusted to it, but no more then both nostrils every so often.

Poppers are dangerous. Do not do them if you have blood pressure problems, heart problems, vertigo, brain problems like seizures etc.

The first time I had poppers was when a bottle was passed around the back row of my high school pre-calc class by some very straight stoners. So it's definitely not an exclusively gay thing. Big with jam band fans, as is their kissing cousin, nitrous oxide.

Having extremely limited exposure to heterosexuality, I don't know if their use is as prevalent among straights as gays. As they have some Viagra-like activity, I imagine some straight guys use them. As with the blue pill "don't use if you are taking nitrates for chest pain" (or, for that matter, adrenergic antagonists like beta or alpha blockers). Poppers are the original nitrate (nitrite, actually), and were first used as an anti-anginal agent (nitrogen compounds help reduce pre-load and take the work off the heart).

I haven't used them in years, because they always give me a headache afterward. They put me in a hypnotic state, especially when I was performing oral sex. I've had a lot of guys cum in my mouth when i was in a popper-induced feeding frenzy.

I would bring a bottle to the straight bars and have my straight friends pass them around. Then I had to start buying extra bottles for them to have because they liked them so much. Not sure sexuality really plays a part whether you like them or not.

Like anything, "in moderation". One fwb I have uses them like every 5 minutes during sex and I can even get a second-hand high off him, that's how much he uses.

Poppers Amyl Nitrate was created for people with heart conditions. Simply put it opens up all your capillaries and veins and increase blood flow. At the moment you sniff it if your climaxing it is fantastic and then your head pounds and hurts some. I used it a few times but do not think it would be good to use it constantly.

I used to use them but I would get horrible headaches after awhile so I just quit. For me, the benefits weren't worth the headache after.
