Now I'm getting rather "Chuffed"!
I was not aware of the term "Morton's Toe", either! Though the descriptions of the problems, that might ensue, do make sense, given that your feet are a "Gateway" to ALL the rest of You! Any undo stress, one way or the other, can certainly effect parts of the body, towering above, working, or over working, to meet Balance.
As for aesthetics, it doesn't really matter to me since the tips of Everyone's toes form a graceful arc together, some more pitched than others, and I find that rather Amazing simply by itself!
As for tops vs. bottoms, I'm fascinated with feet from all angles, with high arches being a plus. However, if I were forced to choose, I'd go with the soles, and toe pads. They're simply more sensitive, and, therefore, more "vulnerable"/tender.
SO ... Kick the shoes and socks! Barefoot RULES!! And, of course ... no matter what ...
