Agreed. It's interesting how differently people react when it's someone they quasi-know as opposed to some other nameless pusher on the evening news.

He was caught pushing an illegal and highly dangerous drug. He deserves to be treated as any other criminal.

He obviously needs help, I don't agree with drug addicts having to do time, they need treatment, he had been clean for years, so he doesn't need jail, but treatment. hope he gets it.

If he was just a user and was found tweaked out, naked, lying in his own filth I might have a drop of pity for him, but the moment he began selling the shit he lost any and all sympathy.

It's one thing to chuck your own life down the toilet; it's entirely another to bring other people down with you.

An old friend of mine became a user about 10 years ago and continued for many years. We all knew he was on crystal but never admitted to it. We tried everything to get him off the junk but he didn't think he had a problem. Fast forward a few years and he got nailed by the feds for selling and went to prison. That's when he lost our sympathy.

We continued to make sure he got help while in prison, and when he got out he was 'supposedly' a new man who was going to crusade against the evil drug; however, no more than a year later and he was back on the junk. He's completely lost touch with us all, and only occasionally sends an email with flimsy excuses to his ignoring our invites.

Crystal is an insidious drug, and most people who are users know full well their effects on people before they use, so I have no sympathy for those who knowingly get themselves hooked on the junk.

Exactly, the law shouldn't discriminate. If you break the law, you should be punished accordingly.

We send people addicted to rich people's drugs to the Betty Ford Clinic. Poor people's drugs to jail.

We sent people addicted to alcohol to AA, people addicted to crack to jail.

It's sad... I'm not surprised to see some of the comments and I AM surprised to see that nobody has tried to suggest that porn made him do it.

That's life and the moral is don't do drugs or get addicted. Though, what are you proposing, Betty opens her doors to everyone, even if they cannot afford it?

Im truly sorry to hear about this. I am not very familiar with him but the situation he is in is sad.

Meth is a very addictive and dangerouse drug that negatively affects your body, mind, and quality of life. All it takes is one experimentation with it and you can be hooked. But Im sure you don't need me to tell you about the dangers of meth because it is pretty obvioius. Drugs are bad mmmmmk. I took a pharmacology class in college and you wouldn't believe what controlled substances like meth can do to the human body.

Bottom line he is another human being who is in a dark place of suffering even if it is self induced due to the drugs. I know for my part I would be wrong in not praying that he get not only the help he needs but that he can use this to help others.
