Michael Flynn offers to testify in exchange for immunity against criminal charges

^ Are you admitting that he's guilty of money laundering, wire fraud, filing false statements, and tax evasion?

Anytime that Agent Orange thinks that Flynn should go for immunity, be scared...VERY scared.

Our anti-American president probably sees some way that Flynn being granted immunity would help to destroy the United States, so of course he would be all for it.

Trump could grant immunity in the exercise of his power to pardon, and his position as chief executive. If Trump thought that Flynn could implicate him or other top people in a crime he would not be encouraging the Congress to grant immunity.

You can't pardon someone who hasn't been convicted lawyer Ben.

I'm curious, exactly what Presidential power exists that allows him to exempt someone from prosecution?

Presidential pardons can be granted anytime after an offense has been committed including before, during, or after a conviction for the offense. [Link]

Unfortunately it is not possible to get through to idiots that voted for Trump!

Presidential pardons are not limited to those convicted. Read the Constitution. Nixon was never convicted but was pardoned. Or, the since prosecution authority is vested in the president he can grant immunity.

I think this is covered in Article 2 and omits some factors which include impeachment. It is complicated, but as a citizen, I am invested in the truth. Even talk or tweets regarding immunity and pardons are theater, not fact. We deserve facts; we deserve truth.

I imagine that Flynn is fully aware that he is in violation of the Logan Act.

And he can only name someone higher in the food chain than him as the instigator of the rapprochement with the Russian ambassador.

Without immunity, he will probably take the a fifth Amendment, impeding the search for the truth.
