Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I broke down at work today when I heard the news. I've spent all day watching his music videos, listening to his albums, and watching his episode of The Simpsons.

Re: [merged]Michael Jackson - Heart Attack

Yeah, let's all pity the pedo just cause he's famous.

Wow, how incredibly rude and tasteless. Regardless of his personal life, he was an amazing artist.

I hope you fucking die tomorrow and people do nothing but talk shit of all the things you did to fuck up in your life (which I'm sure were numerous) whilst completely ignoring anything worthwhile you accomplished (which, considering your responses in this thread thus far, probably amounted to zilch).

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I was so shocked when I heard the news. I was at work and got quite a few text messages from friends telling me the news. :( All my co-workers were shocked as hell and we didn't believe it at first.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

RIP Michael

Such a talented individual - love his music/performances/videos.

Contributed so much to the entertainment industry as well as incalculable amounts of philanthropic services. He's been in the history books for years now and will continue to be a massively iconic influence.

Re: Red necks comments on Jackson death vs. JUB

When he slept in the bed with a minor, I think he had the same mentality as a child.

Now think about this. What grown man in his right mind is going to have somebody else's kids sleeping in his bed with him? Even if he didn't do anything, a normal person would think "Hey. This could look really bad!". If nothing else, it shows extremely poor judgment and a very loose grip on reality.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

R.I.P. Michael, his craft was amazing and he truly paved the way for the future generations of musicians. It's amazing how many of us grew up listening to and watching Michael Jackson's ever-so-public life.

To the sad wretched wastes of human flesh that want to use his passing to make a statement; you are pathetic and its difficult to comprehend the ignorance that some of you subject the rest of us to. Take a look in the mirror and in some ways I'm sure that you are no better.

Whether the accusations against him were true or not, it's truly in bad taste to talk ill of the deceased when his body isn't even cold!

Re: RIP michael jackson!

R.I.P but he will live in the hearts of he's fan R.I.P

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

freakingly AWESOME dancing

i hadn't seen anything from him in ages. i'd forgotten how amazing he really was.

sad day. scandals and indiscretions aside - the guy was a musical and cultural icon.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I don't really have the words to express the feeling I have right now. This is such an amazing loss to the music community, and the world. Michael was the inspiration for many generations of musicians, singers, dancers, etc, and it's still difficult to believe that he is truly gone. My heart and prayers go out to all of his family, friends, and fans during this time.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

Living in Oklahoma, I dread going to work tomorrow - the religious zealots and ignorant will be hurling hatred, no doubt.

I grew up on arena rock and metal, so was never much into his music...but my thoughts on Michael never followed the rumor mill. I hate gossip, and pity those that immediately go into reaction mode - rather than trying to understand each other. Like all deaths, it is those left behind that are at a loss...he is beyond the idiocy of our times now.

I will remember him as a gentle peaceful man who was trying to make sense of the world through his words & music...and did a remarkable job doing so.

Re: RIP michael jackson!

Yeah, I still can't quite believe he's gone now...truly a misunderstood musical genius.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

totally. he was such a big part of my childhood. thriller was the best thing in the world at the time. i really really wanted my childhood icons to stick around longer than this. 50 is so friggin' young to die. i feel so bad for his kids. i read somewhere that their future is pretty uncertain as the mother(s)? had signed away any rights etc upon his adopting them - so who takes care of them is totally up in the air apparently.

Re: how do you feel about michael jackson...

I'm a bit saddened at the pedastal we put celebrities on. The irony is it probably contributed to his death yet the celeb obsession marches on.

One day we've gotta start treating these people like humans again.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

what bugs me the most is that none of the ''music'' channels said or did anything for hours and hours after his death. ben johnson form bet went on another network to talk about him, but his network just continued its normal broadcast. same with mtv and vh1. later on they all acknowleged it but that was about it. sad.

MTV immediately started playing his music wall to wall for like two hours immediately after they found out he was dead. Then they did a little MTV News thing after they stopped playing the music.

VH1 did nothing.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

really i had heard that stations across the country were pretty much all michael jack all the time today. ditto with music video channels etc. i don't listen to the radio so i'd have no idea tho. and i don't think i've watched mtv or muchmusic for 15 years.
