Re: RIP michael jackson!

I don't want to rose tint it. His life was a deeply troubled one. Just one of the many crises he had to deal with would have probably devastated one of our lives.

The fact that he even managed to survive all that is testament to what a strong person he was, and what a loving support network his family, friends and fans provided.

He has indeed left pop music in a drastically different state as a result of his career. I like to think most people believe his effect to have been a positive one. And I hope the outpouring of love from his legions of fans is some comfort to those who were closest to him.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

My 80 (85?) year old illiterate Grandma who doesn't speak a drop of English knows about Micheal Jackson. And when the news broke, she was just equally shocked as we were.

Micheal wasn't just any performer.

My family usually ignore celebrity deaths because they generally don't care. But this, this was no ordinary death. To see everyone shock and in disbelief... I was wrong to think they were apathetic to such news.

Micheal was the Elvis of the world.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

Big Deal, he was a lousy performer and a Child Molester.

Bury him and be rid of it. That is all that is on TV

"A lousy performer"? What planet are you from? Never proven he was a child molester Mr. judge and jury, stating things as fact.

Re: how do you feel about michael jackson...

I'm surprised, in a shocked kind of way. I'm more like "Huh? Michael Jackson is no more? Wow!" than actually saddened.

Re: Favorite Michael Jackson songs

That's just his discography on Epic/Sony. He had some good fun stuff on Motown, too.

My favorites - Working Day and Night, Off the Wall, PYT, Leave Me Alone. They change a lot, though.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

^ uh, just at the end of 5 pages of grief ladies renting their garments and wailing like a Greek chorus did I finally pay attention because it seemed like an awful lot of fuss for one more plasticized American pop star.

I read some of the comments from others and realized that I was so indifferent.

And I thought, with all the hysteria about dead celebs, it just seemed timely to express my emotional state too.

I'm doing it, because I want all the others who are afraid to voice their 'Who the Fuck Cares', to realize that it is okay not to give a rat's ass that Ed, Farah and now Mikey have left the building.
Then can you learn to post a new thread a leave a thread for grieving to the people who aren't indifferent like you are? Yes there are ills in the world, but as have shown, it doesn't stop people from living their lives and enjoying themselves in life.

Michael Jackson was one of the people that brought joy to peoples lives. He is a persons childhood, someone they watched on tv relentlessly, played his music none stop. He was a person you didn't imagine would die cause it felt...impossible for the person.

Unlike a lot of celebs, he was a true legend. He is like the Beatles, or Elvis. Even so long after their end, they are still celebrated and their music is loved in the younger generations so many decades seperated from when the music was first made. It is a testament to his legend that in less than 24 hours, his thread is 5 pages long.

I am indifferent to your not caring. But was it necessary in here? Go make another fucking thread. I am sure in a day or two, some evil troll will make a anti-MJ thread.

In a few days I am

Re: RIP michael jackson!

It's one of the saddest things i've ever heard.. i kept refreshing the tmz.com site hoping they made a mistake... and when it was confirmed.. it shook me to my very core, im one of those people that listens to his songs very often... so sad .. i hate how a lot of gutless people are still bringing up his legal problems..and saying that he wasn't a good person...i think he was one of the most good-hearted people to have ever lived..

he changed music forever, he was, is and always will be a LEGEND.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson, you will be missed!

Re: RIP michael jackson!

bidaddysex and bluedragon4 must have deeper problems. Just in what way can they say things they no nothing about. The heard it on Court TV and never witnessed a thing.

Tell you even more truth, God will have a hard time having pity on you two when you pass. Least your comments will be no longer be offensive than your own lives it seems.

May Michael really rest in peace because some people seem to embed TV propaganda of the Rich and Famous !!!

I have deeper problems? Lets not sugar coat things. He MAY have been a pedophile. I'm just saying the truth will come out. I can't cry over that. He was a very odd person. And why are so many people shocked by his death? He's been plagued with illness his whole life and on drugs for pain. His nose was falling off for God's sake! Farrah is heartbreaking. Michael isn't a shocker.

Re: Favorite Michael Jackson songs

I never liked Thriller much. I also hated everything he did with Paul McCartney.

My favorite songs..

- Don't stop til you get enough
- Billie Jean
- The way you make me feel
- Wanna be starting something
- Scream

Oddly enough, my favorite songs with him were often not "his."

- Tell me I'm not dreaming *duet with his brother Jermaine
- Shake your body down to the ground *The Jacksons
- Can you feel it? - The Jacksons

Re: Favorite Michael Jackson songs

"Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" is another fave. Can't say as I liked "Can You Feel It" though, although the video was pretty damn funny (unintentionally).

I never did like "The Way You Make Me Feel". It always sounded overly fussy and clinical. Then again, so did "Black or White", and I liked that one...

R.I.P :(

Strange man, but I grew up listening to his music.

Re: RIP michael jackson!

May he rest in peace and that his talent shine FOREVER

Re: how do you feel about michael jackson...

in my opinion he was a 50 year old pedophile who bought off the silence for his actions many times in the past. this is not an endorsement of his death, just a fact that taints anything that i might feel about him. i can't say i was a fan of his music, some of it was catchy, but most of his stuff just wasn't for me.
