lol I had to google Smokey Robinson before I replied to Lex. I knew of his name, but I thought he was some blues singer from the 50's and was going to say he is a generation behind the people who control media and the internet now.

Lots of celebs, including Cher, (?) will be paying their respects.

It hasn't really hit me that he died yet. I don't know why, I thought I'd be a lot sadder since I'm a fan and all.

people are saying how great of an artist he was,but its more than that its about what a great person he was what a warm hearted caring great person,most stars dont have that capacity ever he had it his whole life,even when papparazzi was in his face he smiled and waved, rest in peace michael...

despite all of the drama and the issues that seemed to overwhelm his later years i choose to remember him from 'off the wall' and 'thriller.' especially thriller as it was a huge part of the soundtrack of my young life. he was talented and exciting to watch and i am sorry to see him go.

OMG... how sad. I always liked Michael and remember hearing his music for the first time at a dance back in Jr. High. I thought he got a bum rap at times - then again, he was a very unique individual and we all know how society treats those who are 'different'... Nonetheless, what an incredible talent.
