Michael Jackson Is Dead!!

I can't believe it. The whole world idolized that man and now he's gone. When I was young he seemed almost like a god or something, like nothing could ever touch him. I knew he had to pass on one day but not like this...

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

what about Heal the world what a great song from the dangerous era,or speechless, lost children, from invincible all his music is classic.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

The news today is tragic, regardless of his personal life and what you choose to believe or think of him as a person.

I have a feeling, after the media is finished with its frenzy over covering his life/death in a nutshell, he will be remembered more for his music and how it changed the industry and influenced so many others that have gone on to successful careers.

It's really not much different from the way Elvis lived and died. Elvis was pretty much a pathetic shadow of his glorious self at the time of his death, but most of what we see today regarding him is his career in music and his monumental talent. I bet you that is exactly how Michael Jackson will be remembered over time.

Re: Red necks comments on Jackson death vs. JUB

Neo you hijacked it yourself. The line of "they should go and kill themselves" was designed purely to illicit a reaction. You got what you wanted and now you're being censored. You're not being censored at all, gsdx simply made an observation he thought the line was a bit too much. That's what happens on forums, people say what they think, if you want a forum where people only agree with your opinions you're going to need to create one of your own.

Ravenstar, I disagree- (not trying to make this into a bigger deal than it needs to be) Neo didn't hijack the thread with his comment, gsdx did with his. IMO, NEO expressed his opinion by stating that "they should go kill themselves," and even used the auxiliary verb "should" to show that it was simply an opinion. gsdx made a declarative statement that NEO's statement was too much. The declaration caused the thread shift, as it wasn't an expression of opinion, but a statement of fact. Just trying to be objective here. Since it is a forum, all we really have are our words as our forms of expression. Again, not trying to make this a big deal, but wanted to express my opinion on the thread.

Anyway, back to red necks v jub on jackson.

rip mjackson.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I will admit, I didn't like him following his change to being caucasian, even though I believe it was a skin condition...but yeah I'll more remember him for his Thriller and Billie Jean, etc. That's what he should be remembered for.

Michael doing what he did onstage. Nobody could hold a candle to him.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t7vmuDpdqI&feature=related[/ame]

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

As I type this, a local news channel is playing a clip from the "Thriller" video.

I never dreamed that that video would send tears streaming down my face.

I have no memory of life without Michael's music in it.

There's nothing else to say.

The post in this thread that turned MY faucet on...

Though I was alive long before MJ was, can I borrow that quote (attributed, as well) for a while? It's simple, but profound.

You can't believe it ??? My friend, the only sure thing in life....is death.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I dunno how this gem went under everyone's radar but for folks who said he lost it in the 90's, this is a gorgeous song he recorded via Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry.

OMG I remember this song. It is genius. I didn't realize he has sang it though.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

I was a fan of the Jackson 5 when I was young.

I didn't care for his music once I grew up.

He reached a level of super stardom that nobody else had....

He became a victim of his own popularity.

Rest in Peace, Michael.......(you earned it.....)

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

Seems in his last will and testament, Michael has given back the rights of the Beatles music back to Paul McCartney.

Re: Red necks comments on Jackson death vs. JUB

After reading of Jackson's death on a local TV stations site I checked the comments there. The site is loaded with trailer park buffons, red necks, & back woods crusted over seniors living in Fossil Park.
But some of the JUB posters already top the nasty and shit remarks at this early stage compared to the bitter twisted trolls on the local red neck, hate filled TV station. Nah, there are as many post on that site but more nasty ones here,...so soon!
Sort of suprised me that guys here would have such nasty shit to say so shortly after his death, but then I thought about it . Not really.
Way to go what a tolerant bunch of twits.

nobody likes confederate white trailer trash.. I hear ya.

That would be a nice thing to do. I'm just wondering where you got this information.

Re: Red necks comments on Jackson death vs. JUB

Now that was totally out of line.

no it wasn't.. all they do is waste their votes on the republican party. Hell they voted for Bush which fucked us over really bad. Now we need a black man to fix a mess that a WHITE man started. They are the ones who invented the Jim crow laws, they keep homosexuals from getting married, they spread hate and lies about minorities, they caused the country to fight with itself over slavery then to this day they try to sugar coat what they did and give reasons on how THEY were the true victims?!

The Invincible album is probably the most underrated album in the history of music. What a great CD... the Butterfly song was just absolutely fantastic. I wish he would have singed it live or made a video.

May this legend RIP :(

Re: Red necks comments on Jackson death vs. JUB

Madonna ????

Are you mad at what he said.... simply because he offended people like you? The evidence shows in your hatred towards our black president. You like the rest of the trailer park population ALWAYS find something to rip on Obama. It always changes...

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

Michael Jackson is to leave his share of The Beatles' back catalogue to Sir Paul McCartney in his will, according to reports.

Jackson, who recently dismissed reports of ill health, is said to hope that the gesture will repair his friendship with the former Beatle.

He is sadly dead now.

Although Paul might only be 50% owner of the music

Certainly, one of the questions that will be floated in the wake of Michael Jackson's death is what will happen to the Beatles catalog.

In an incident that raised the ire of Beatles fans all over the world, Jackson in 1984 managed to buy the Beatles catalog in spite of efforts of others, including Paul McCartney, to buy it. He then gained the rights to most of the Beatles catalog.

Re: [merged] Michael Jackson Dies at 50

My immediate reaction is sadness. I've always thought that it was sad that someone of such enormous talent ended up having such a troubled life.
