Very strange ad put out by the big man -- Michael Moore. This one makes fun of senior citizens.

I can't post the other one because of CEP rules -- but you can find it on youtube.

Desperation on the part of Obama supporters? I think so.

I'm not sure who they are trying to convince.

Romney should put this ad on TV to show the kind of people low lifes who support Obama.

:rotflmao:

IN MY EXPERIENCE, it's not surprising that the wing-nut crazies on the right have no sense of humor.

I'm sending that to everyone I know, we'll see who gets a kick out of it!!

Thanks Jack!!!

Rosebud Nursing Home???

Just one question about the old woman and the cock punch. If she punched him right in the nutsack, wouldn't it be called a nutsack punch?
Inquiring minds, dontchaknow?

...all the best people are going to hell...

^^^^^You were expecting good manner & pleasant posts? He's not exactly Emily Post!!

Does anyone think this ad works for Obama with undecideds ?

Really

Tell the truth

I concluded that most people are over socialist Michael Moore. Guess not.

Well, any success in swaying voters is bound to be minimal. I was watching a news report this morning, where two female democrat and republican politicians based in Denver, were discussing the upcoming elections. They both agreed that swing voters tend to pay more attention to negative advertising, recognising that its unfortunate that their is so much of it, but that it appears to work, as people don't like the thought of bad things happening. Suggesting that a vote for the opposition will lead to said bad things, garners support for the party which the ads support.

In Michael Moore's case, i think perhaps he is taking the mickey to an extent, whereby a lot as been heard from the right, about how bad things could get if Obama gets a second term. The video suggests these negative repurcussions, none of which would actually happen, as a way of countering the scaremongerers i guess. In reality its just humour, appreciated by those already decided to vote democrats. Its not going to have a huge impact on swing votes, but it could just a little. People do enjoy humour afterall.

I am probably wrong in regards to my initial post however. Its probably not for the undecided's benefit at all, just leftist fun-making.

my 2 cents is ads like these are for the makers of them not for voters - my mom or her friends would not think this ad is even remotely funny ........ too crass ......... would make them uncomfortable

my guess is this doesn't get much airplay

Morning Joe this am says that Obama is going to have to put resources into states he never dreamed ...... incl. Pennsylvania, Minnesota and others

Obama needs to project steady hand for the next week - thinking Sandy could help him there

^^^

I think Obama is going stir-crazy cooped up in the White House. He's spent the majority of his time as U.S. President campaigning for a second term.

Obama's home is really Air Force One. Michelle and kids will soon get on his nerves and he'll get tired of "playing President" soon.

However, from what I've seen today -- Sandy is a big deal. It will take a while for the water to even recede.

It' may be like a classic sales close .... who ever campaigns first loses.

Michael Moore has always appealed to a youth market. From his earlier TV days to his films, his demographic is under 40, educated, and enjoys a little crassness. It's for the Bill Maher/Jon Stewart audience, not the Fox News audience.

This INTERNET ad is aimed at mobilising young voters. It was not designed to inspire your Nanna to vote.

Effin' hilarious. I love Michael Moore.

not sure how an ad about (very) old folks would mobilize kids who do their best to avoid old people, old people in TV shows and old people in ads

but I agree with u about the rest of what u say

I agree with your overall view however this ad doesn't work and the only youth this would attract are too young to vote anyway if they are in ah over the language. Not effective and not correct from the get go anyway. Michael Moore is good to stick with documentaries and not try a script.

Michael Moore includes the often forgotten and smaller generation that came after the "greatest generation" and that is the "silent generation", of which someone 75 is a member of. They are not a member of the greatest generation. It is this silent elderly generation which is giving great attention to the vote and always votes. The greatest generation are small now and those alive many not be healthy or capable enough to vote.
Its easy for this silent generation to get overlooked, mostly people think of the greatest generation leads into the baby boomers but this set from 1925 - to the early 1940's may have been in the "WHO", pushed out his pelvis from Memphis, or played bass in Rolling Stones. Just as equal they could be Pat Roberson or Jerry Falwell. They watched upheaval with quiet hate of hippies or were hippies.

They are also most of our Parents and Grand parents but overall.

The Forgotten and "Quiet Generation" sucks shit in 2012 and they are not silent.
