After all this campaigning is over we have to thank people like Michele for all the amusement and hilarity she and her husband have given us.

Unfortunately the people of St Cloud, Anoka, Ramsey, Andover, Blane & Stillwater, MN still have to put up with this bizarre woman. Sucks to live in the northern suburbs.

(If they do get the new Viking stadium I'll be pissed.) :grrr:
 
I was`n t a fan of Mrs.Thatcher. Never. BUT Bachmann will never be a Thatcher.
Mrs.Thatcher isn`t a fundamental christian, she has general knowledge, she was a tough negotiator (with Gorbachev, Kohl, Mitterrand...), she believes in free market economy BUT also in tolerance. Mrs. Thatcher was a rhetorican - and by the way - a monarchist (hello USA!).
Mrs.Bachmann is a nobody.

How about God has everyone go for Gary Johnson, the only candidate not tied in with some bizarre religious batch? That would be a nice miracle.
 
It appears the "iron one" has lost another top tier worker. This is the 2nd one in a week. It appears her Iowa political director has left and it appears they headed to Ron Paul. Side note, even though they say they didn't leave for money, how do all these "helpers" make a living working for months at a time on the road with any politician if they are not getting some kind of pay. I'm sure they have spouses and family at home to help provide for.

She's going to fight until the bitter end and then blame her being a "woman" and this being a "man's" game and the media giving her less coverage than the men when its been anything but. They love to see women because it attracts more viewers, the problem is HER and her ideals.

She'll fight to the bitter end because she thinks God wants her to run.

That kind of thing comes from assuming God would rather drop us instructions after agonizing with prayer and reading the Bible, rather than making decisions on our own. When I hear this sort of thing, I'm reminded of a professor of exegesis (discerning the meaning in a piece of literature) who said, Yes, much of the Bible is God's personal letters; however, they were not written directly to YOU. The lecture handout for the day was called "Reading Other People's Mail".

If you realize that, then you'll recognize that opening the Bible and expecting instructions to pop off the page is moronic, that guidance comes through examining why God said X to audience P in whatever time and place, and dig for the principles on which that message rested.

As a former Lutheran Bachmman ought to get that, but from appearances... she doesn't.
