After tonight, I'm done with you. You have nothing positive to add to the Democratic Cause.
That's why him and Jouper were my most recent adds to the Ignore List.

LOL.
Well other than the $22,400 I've given in the past 2 election cycles, and voted for every Democratic candidate in the past 8 years you mean?
Gee, sorry I'm such a slack ass in your mind.
i didn't offer an opinion in that post, i asked you a question that you seem unable to answer. first of all, voting is overrated. many people vote based on racism or sexism, many people vote without having a single fucking clue who they're voting for and what for, i don't vote because i don't have the resources to form an efficient opinion of the candidates, doesn't that sound better than someone who votes for mccain because he's white, or obama because he's black, or hilary cuz they think she'll solve all the world's problems?
it's funny that you're not explaining the cultural comment, possibly because you're realizing what an illogical one it was.
i've backed up my words, can you do the same??
I hear Bush tried that in Saudi Arabia, but didn't have as much luck. LOL!

Voting is not overrated. Voting is the fundamental action of a citizen. If you don't want to exercise your right to vote because you "don't have the resources to form an efficient opinion of the candidates" then, I agree, you probably shouldn't vote.
I've addressed the "cultural comment" Marley. A Black President is a cultural change for the United States. You are nitpicking. If you, like EVILFORCE (ooh scary!!) just want to pick a fight and prolong an argument instead of actually reading posts and responding to comments, that's your privilege.
I do want to congratulate you and EVILFORCE (ooh scary!!!) at taking a positive thread about the Democratic Nominee for President and turning it into something ugly and divisive.

here's my question to you because i am beginning to realize you simply don't understand what you're saying.
why does a black president mean our culture has changed? what has changed about it? were blacks unable to run last year?? how do you define the culture that you're insisting is about to be changed??

Marley, I love your posts. Not just in CE&P, but elsewhere. But man do you run at the mouth and blather on and on and on ....
If the US elects a black President in November 2008, it marks a major change in the culture of this country. I know that you grasp the concept that this country has been based on racism and slavery since its origins. I do not understand why you are quibbling about the cultural significance of electing a black man as President of the United States.

That's enough right there to discount anything you'll ever say in threads about the election.voting is overrated.

9 times out of 10, a voter considers theirself informed and dedicated if they watch 2 CNN specials and visit a primary so don't let anybody call you a slack ass.
