Microsoft needs to DIE

lol Apple fanboys.

Well there is the Zune, which is superior to Apple's iPod interface, pre-Touch. And tuesday, there will be the Zune HD which is superior to the Touch if you don't have apps. BUT OH WAIT! There will be an apps store on the device, and it is still more powerful then the iPod Touches that came out this week.

Then there is Windows 7, which is just amazing, hands down. No one has been able to say anything seriously bad about it. Apple tried to slam it at WWDC or some jankum event, but they failed.

Then there is MS Office which no one actually complains about, except for the price blah blah. It is still the most powerful office suite out there. It does things nothing else can.

Then there is the Xbox and Xbox 360 with their plethora of games.

etc etc

I don't mind Microsoft Mobile 6 and I really like Microsoft Office.

They have the WORST PRODUCTS...I can't think of one thing they do well! With all the money they have you would think they could come out with something of value like Apple did with the Iphone....MICROSOFT TOTALLY SUCKS!!!!
And why do you sound like a 5 year old child who isn't getting what he wants?

If Linsux and Micromoney fanboys can get along, why can't cApple join the party?

They need to kill the Xbox too!

Apple sucks. They only allow their MacOS to be installed on their overpriced, deprecated hardware.

Plus, Quicktime and iTunes come preinstalled, even if I don't want them.

I don't seem to have a whole lot of choice in the matter. It can be Microsoft or NOTHING...

Once, before I had a printer, I needed to copy more than 100 pages of documents. I had them in OpenOffice, and I always email documents to myself for backup, but in those days, if I wanted to ever print my own documents, I had to email them to myself and open them in a library.

To my horror, I found out that no library in town, nor any friend's computer, had OpenOffice installed, and I wasn't able to open the documents. I had to entirely rework and reformat them to MicrosoftWord, and only then was I able to open them on my email at a library for the necessary printing.

The result of the delay, though, was that my deadline couldn't be moved, and I ended up having to pull two all-nighters in the final three days. A very noxious and unpleasant situation, due to a well-intentioned friend in Chicago (four hours from here) installing OpenOffice on my computer, in the mistaken belief of both of us that I'd be perfectly happy and functional without Microsoft.

If I used OpenOffice documents on my website instead of Word documents, very few customers would be able to buy from my website, because very few people have OpenOffice on their computer, and therefore would be unable to open and browse my documents.

So, with Microsoft, my opinions about them notwithstanding, I'm *STUCK* and forced to use their software.

OpenOffice would be good for my own internal documents, but NO BETTER THAN Microsoft, only equivalent to them. But if I ever need to print anything and my printer isn't working, I would be entirely screwed.

Frank, can't OpenOffice Save As a PDF?

Almost anyone can open them.

I don't have Office and due to the legal stuff I'm handling I get a lot of documents via e-mail.

If they come as something I can't open, I email back and ask for the documents to be sent as a PDF.

I am using windows 7 Beta and it is far from Unstable. I do not have any problems with it and it runs fine on this comp. I love Windows 7 so much more than XP/Vista. People who I know that is running windows 7 beta are all enjoying it more. And they have no problems on it.

Open Office can save as a .doc file. I use it all the time and have no compatibility problems. I have used it on mac and PC.

Wow .. this is the worst OS troll thread ever :)

There's an article in the latest Game Informer that compare system failures between the Microsoft XBOX 360, Sony Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. Here's a quick overview:

The XBOX 360 had the highest failure rate

The XBOX 360 has the highest second failure after the original repair rate.

Microsoft was voted least helpful in customer service

A majority of XBOX 360 repairs can take about 2 weeks to a month. Nintendo and Sony repairs are about 1 week

I don't plan on buying a XBOX 360 anytime soon, so that one Microsoft product I don't want to purchase.

You know even though Microsoft were lazy shit fucks to install a "50 CENT" FUCKING FIX into making it so the discs DON'T GET SCRATCHED and they took like two years to start addressing the red ring of death and actually caring enough to fix it and not having people wait a month to receive a damn coffin to send their xbox in, THE SYSTEM IS GOOD.

Don't get me wrong I hate that my iPhone only shows pictures but can't play music through the console. I hate that they use Windows Live for chat.

But god the games are so good, xbox live kicks ass, the UI is CHANGABLE with themes and pretty cool ones, the avatars kick ass (Especially in guitar hero 5) and I love the download content.

And of course netflix on 360 is awesome. They are being smart with the 360. But yes their customer service is shit. I have been kinda thinking about a PS3. But even with the price drop I don't think so. I only want like one or two games for PS3 anyways.

And zune is fail. End of story. But than again new iPods are fail. LOLZ

You are kidding us aren't you? Windows 7 - the most unstable, buggy beta yet...test it for yourself....IT SUCKS HUGELY ...it can't handle media swapping for one thing - you get some weird numeric count error oh and then if you want to persist form data...ohhh baby.....FAIL....it is the biggest joke since VISTA (AND that was LAME)... but go ahead waste your money..."have you updated or will you let Microfascists do it for you AUTOMATICALLY....ROFL...Micro get left holding the bag again...What a POS - no wonder Apple is a better investment!
:rotflmao:

Now I know your a biased machead. Windows 7 has been the smoothess, more stable beta of a OS ever (well linux MIGHT have a claim to that) It handles media sharing better. Handles everything better actually. Apple had to add additional updates into Snow Leopard just to keep their dock up to date with the new Win7 taskbar.

As for the other error. It was...one error in a beta that was hard to initiate in the first place. You literally had to conciously make the error happen for the error to happen.

I guess if you actually tried the product, you'd know this.

Not to mention, MS doesn't charge for a service pack.
