True. But if you put two computers up against each other, one Mac, one Windows, each with the exact same specifications, the MAC will handle the application(s) better, in general. If you get into advanced multimedia, you will usually have to upgrade your specifications if you are running Windows. Both will handle multimedia applications fine, it is just that MACs have a had a slight edge in terms of getting it out of the box and getting it up and running without having the need to upgrade as your usage demands increase.
Uh....huh.
Because, god knows the multi-billion dollar international Video Game industry, which implements some of the most advanced multimedia and graphic design applications on the planet, hell, which has pioneered some of the latest technologies, only uses Macs, right?
You ever hear of a little company called Pixar? You know, the 3D animation studio co-founded by Steve Jobs? Steve Jobs of Macintosh? Ya, him.
Well, guess what computers Pixar uses? PC's, and in 2008 Pixar announced they would start using Microsoft's RenderMan Pro Server 14.0 on a 64-bit Windows system.
Sheesh. This isn't 1991; the "macs are industry standard" line does not fly anymore... especially when they use the same components as Windows-based systems.
