You can get it here.

I haven't installed it yet. I'll get to it later. The last Release Candidate seemed pretty solid. So this one should be too. I wonder if they added anything new.

i would still be wary of IE7 if i were you, a lot more built in idiot-proofing (I.E. headaches for experienced users), and a lot more built in DRM $hit.

(I.E. headaches for experienced users),

well MS understood that they shouldn't allow software to install without user-interaction. what they didn't understood is that there are people who know what they are doing, and which are annoyed by stuff like that.
unfortunately if they would make it easy to disable that, the people who should have enabled it, will disable it, too ;)

Internet Virus Explorer? Thanks, I'll stick to Firefox. It may hog the memory but at least it doen't trawl for Spyware and Viruses like I.E.

Typical Microsuck's either no protection or as in IE 7 overkill and tho you are supposed to be able to turn off these features in reality that isn't the case so I am using Netscape 8.1 gives me the features and also a good deal of control.

I also have a copy of the new operating system Vista RC 1 and have found that the IE 7 installed in the program to be better than the upgrade for XP etc. This program is sure to drive everyone nuts.

Because everything you want to change something it will happily tell you that you don't have permission to do it but you can change it if you click the OK button.

Already? Wow.

I use Firefox 99.99% of the time. IE is only used for Windows Update type stuff, and sometimes as my back up browser, just in case something goes wrong with Firefox.

I can't wait for the new Firefox.

I'm still a little peeved that Firefox doesn't work with a bunch of multimedia services... maybe Firefox 2.0 will work better.

I use Oprea... IE 7 is rubbish!!!... they are tryingto nick stuff from mozilla.. that was invented YEARSago .. tab browsing.. never seen that before !!! LOL.....
There are however cracks to get arund the DRM... so dont be too upset with it.. but as mentioned dont touch it now!!!... wait till next year...when Vista is out...then buy the whole package... and loose all your work in a pile of flames and error messages..

I don't mind IE that much. I've tried Firefox but it seems that several websites that I view regularly don't work as well with it, so I've come back to IE 7.

IE7 dont bother with it i havnt . Firefox pretty much does everything IE7 does so im sticking with Firefox

Firefox has had too bad case of memory eating. Its ate a ton of memory and still does it. I just hope the final release of Firefox 2.0 will fix that. I just use the IE 7 that I had when they fixed all the problems.

Try IE7 without f**king up your system:

I tried the 'normal' install and there were serious issues - I had to jump through hoops to get XP back together.

Noel.

Yep! I installed the sucker, then found out it screwed my sound/audio and my graphics all to hell! No sound whatsoever and my graphics were totally screwed. Luckily I had a restore point from earlier that day that I could revert to.

And no - a chuckle isn't some new sexual fetish before some of you go off and Google it - it's a laugh - a giggle - by Zeus I'm digging a hole for myself here - backup backup.

;) Gotcha. I spent most of Thursday evening trying to figure out how to get sound and graphics back before finally saying fuck it and reverting.

And... holes can be fun, if you know what you're doing! ..| :p

Ok you guys can say I should have come here first.
I installed IE7 a couple of hours ago and I can't get any URL to come up with IE7. Any of you guys that have gotten it working know what is wrong with it.

I would like to use Firefox, I have before with good results, but now my dial up is too slow to connect to any website. Anything I can do about that?:grrr: ](*,)

Um...aside from getting broadband? You can try some sort of web accelerator. Check out Google's. I haven't used it myself.

Thanks, I have ATT/SBC/Yahoo/WTF and DSL is not available in my area. 5th largest city in Texas and not all areas are available. Cable is just too expensive for me. I have had an accelrator before I wonder what I did with it and why did I stop using it. My Firefox was working good then all of a sudden everything took too long for connection.
BTW IE7 has a Q/A section on how to uninstall and I did it and I guess it didn't screw up anything that I can tell.

Wow. MS just reinvented the Firefox browser and relabeled it IE7. Way to go MS, way to play catchup!!! What application will you mimic next?

I am still using firefox 1.5 and boy am i loving it. I use the 3 free extensions of Video Downloader (to grab flash videos and other media), flashgot, and the awesome web developer extension that lets you control just about anything in the websites you are visiting. I could easily grab files, images, turn off images or just animations to speed up download, disable java, javascript in one click, cookies control in one click, view generated source. Well i could go on.
