Preliminary weather reports for next weekend are for highs around 60, lows around 45, with partly cloudy skies.

This being Minnesota, that could change completely in a week. :)

ChickenGuy has just called swerve to let us all know that he has safely arrived in the US. He had to use a borrowed cell phone.

He's excited to meet all of us later this week, but his European telephone doesn't work here and he's unable to reach us via internet.

It's all coming together, folks!

He's planning on staying at the Plaza in Eau Claire on Thursday night for Kevbo's KARAOKE -- and then doesn't know yet for Minneapolis...

I'm still planning on Eau Claire for Thursday (although I'm going to have to depend on someone's kindness to pick me up and drop me off at the truck stop) -- anyone else going to make the voyage across the Mighty Mississippi into the land of CHEESE???

This was a trip I was really hoping to be able to make even after I got hit with some bills I had not expected, but I just can't make it happen. I've been planning a trip to New York in August, and that might not happen now either. I definitely couldn't do both.

I hope you all have a fantastic time and take lots of pictures (if people are willing to be photographed). Thank you to Kevbo, Transpogue and Lube for all you've done to plan this weekend.

I have one concern about brunch on Sunday.

Do we have reservations?

Sunday is Mother's Day and most restaurants are packed. Maybe the one we're going to is off the beaten path, or too gay to take mom to, or has a gazillion tables.

As some of you know brunch is one of my addictions. :-)

This started out as 'Spogue's and my event, but it would be unfair to say it isn't yours as well with all that you've helped out with!
 
I think we need a hugfest! Too bad I turned off the animated icons here (so JUB works better on my iPad); I'd love to have 2 or 3 of those rainbow group hugs here. :)
 
As the weekend draws NEARER -- I am getting CLOSER!!! :gogirl:

An unfortunate change of plans for me though -- my customer now needs me in Minneapolis on THURSDAY instead of FRIDAY -- so I will NOT be able to attend the Karaoke Drinking Contest in Eau Claire... ](*,)

And that kind of bums me out... :(

I WILL however be able to check out some of the clubs in Minneapolis -- just in case anyone else isn't going to make it it Eau Claire... (UU)

Oh -- the OTHER good thing about this is that I'll have ALL of FRIDAY OFF WORK!!!
