Hey guys,
I originally joined JUB for the Amateur Photos section (yeah, caught with my hand in the cookie jar
...), but I've been lurking for quite some time reading around and figured I should introduce myself.
I'm 20 years old and college student in Georgia, but am from NC. Having being raised as the only child in a white-bread, conservative, suburban home with a mother as a Baptist minister, things have been really tough for me as far as feeling accepted and that "gay is OK," and I admit I still struggle with that a lot. Getting out of state to go to school has been the absolute best thing for me as far as figuring out just who exactly I am. I am only out to my close friends--not my family, the public or at work. My goal is to come out to my roommate next semester--we'll see how that goes.
Although I'm technically single right now, I am fresh out of a 10 month long distance relationship with an amazing guy I still consider my best friend. There is still a connection between us, I feel--I love him and he loves me, but the distance was not working. Circumstances won't allow me to see him again until August and I really miss him, but my one consolation is that if it is meant to be, love will find a way.
Wow, I really rambled a lot...I hope it wasn't too boring. If you're still with me, thanks!
