You were bi-curious so you bought into "Grace Kelly" and took it to No. 57 on the Hot 100. Had you been smart you would have invested in the little pop geniuses other gems which all made the top 10 in Europe this past year:

I remember when one of my friends told me about Mika there was almost no info on the internet about him, aside from Grace Kelly on youtube, and his official site was completely dead. I was one of the first people to join his fansite, so I've been following his music for a little under a year now, and I really think he has tons of potential and a great career ahead of him.

I COMPLETELY agree, Matt!!!
I think most people that read this thread (and don't watch the YouTube video) are gonna assume it's another uptempo dance single from Mika when they're missing out on a subtle and charming ballad.
Kinda like when Madonna released "Crazy For You" in 1985. She'd had five top 40 dance hits in a row and everybody was blown away that she could tackle (and succeed) with such a sensitive ballad.
And so has Mika!

I loved this song from the first time I heard it. It builds well from beginning to end.
When I first heard Grace Kelly on the radio, it was on this Hot or Not poll the station does, where people vote online as to whether to play the song on the radio or not. I thought it was great, so I memorized a couple of lines so I could find it when I got home. By the time I did though, the results came in and listeners voted it no good! stupid stupid people. I've so heard them play it since then. They simply couldn't deny it!

I'm listening to Life in Cartoon Motion for the first time now and I have to say that I really like it. He's definitely 'channelling' Freddie more than once on the CD, but he knows it.

I dig Mika. I like how he experiments with his voice and music. I particularly like his tendency to slap dark or cynical lyrics over a dance groove, and yet somehow keep the overall atmosphere optimistic. The guy has a story to tell, and I appreciate his entry into the world of music. Hopefully it gets better from here.
