At long last, the Huckster has found another "boogie man."

In a letter his campaign said he sent Frito-Lay on Tuesday, Huckabee said Dan Savage, the man behind the group benefiting from the bags, has for years made “very hateful and vulgar comments toward Christians” and called “for violence and injury to people he disagrees with.”
The letter follows one four days earlier in which Huckabee first asked Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo that produces Doritos, to stop raising money for Savage’s project, according to Huckabee’s campaign, which said Thursday he had yet to receive a response to either one.

But I was reading an article about the rainbow Doritos yesterday -- and the most interesting point made was that the singular form of Doritos is "Dorit"...

Huckabee is toast. He shot himself in the foot on the national stage when he aligned himself with that loon Davis in Kentucky. He has to know he'll never get nominated, he'll collect lots of money from his extremist supporters and probably get his job back on GOP-TV (Fox News).

I think pretty much all of them(except Rand Paul) support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. The Gay Agenda still matters to the GOP.

Yeah, the whole thing with Huckabee staging the rally for Kim Davis and offering to go to prison in her place smacks of his desperation for attention.

It is somewhat disturbing to me that Republicans demand of their candidates a demonstration of sufficient hatred toward the traditional objects of their bigotry, before the candidates can be taken seriously. There was a time when a presiential candidate whipping up hatred against a minority would seriously damage that candidate's campaign. Now, among Republicans, it is a requirement.

Ted Cruz got booed on Colbert when he began spewing his anti-gay hatred. Colbert intervened, asking his audience not to boo his guest.

These GOPers surely know their homophobia does NOT represent the views of most Americans. And they surely know these views will hurt them in a general election. But you cannot become a leader in the Republican Party by representing the views of most Americans.
