In fairness, very few people knew the name of the guy that Wall Street touted as the guy who resurrected the ANF brand. The brand was marketed to straight (mostly white) high school and college aged kids.

You might want to watch the documentaries. The company was a cult run by a sick guy but as long as it was making money for stockholders, Jeffries was considered a marketing genius. When the brand fell out of favor and one of the models he assaulted sued, then Jeffries was fired and the ugly truths came out. It still took nearly 20 years and two documentaries for him to be indicted, though.

Respectfully: Blah blah blah I know how white privilege works and how reluctant Americans are to prosecute predators. Especially when they're young and pale with nice cheek bones and abs. I don't need anyone to tell me how gross the *"preferences" people are. I think most of them are some sort of deviant.

Luckily his victims aren't minorities or women otherwise this all would've been swept under the rug and he'd have coffee blends named after him all over SoHo. "What about all his contributions to the fashion world! Separate the man from the art!!!"

I've been averse to this cult since high-school when the Aberzombies were all wearing my previously favorite outfit-- burnt orange sweater with olive green cargo pants.
