I am home from deployment and don't want the VA I was raped overseas who do I go to?

With the upmost respect, I don't think this is the correct forum for your question.

You were raped whilst serving in the armed forces and want help but don't want to go to the hospitals that are especially for people who are/were in the armed forces?

Go to a normal hospital? The police? I guess it depends what kind of help you want and what you can afford.

I'm not sure why nobody else understood your question unless I am understanding it wrong.

You can talk to someone in person, online or over the phone. Google Gay Men's Health Crisis or Gay Men's Counselling. Since you decided to put this out on JUB, I am thinking you self-identify as at least bi if not gay. Even if you don't identify as gay, calling a gay men's crisis line to talk and/or get a referral I'm sure wouldn't be a problem. Any problems you are dealing with in this really awful life event, a crisis line can give you support on whatever level you are comfortable with.

This is the wrong forum for this. Rape is a big, ongoing problem in the military and they raise a lot of awareness about it. They have numbers you can call and you need to speak with a behavior health tech and get this sorted out. You also need to report the person who raped you and they will get discharged.

This can only happen after a trial I'm sure...Rape is "his word against mine"..

Cigarman I hope Sultan was able to answer your question. Please seek medical attention and seek out those Sultan mentioned. I hope you have someone in your life you can confide in. You will get through this and you are in my prayers.
