Mindless Destruction . . . and Fun!

I like idyllic, peaceful things...

but icky creatures are my bias, this one always get my blood gurgling

This is just stupid.

Wasps have as much right to exist as you do. People need to stop being such fucking princesses about bees and wasps.

I have a staggeringy beautiful wasps nest taken out of the line of cedars on the west long lawn after they were done with it. We managed to co-exist quite nicely for 6 months while they built their home and lived quite peaceably in it.

Men are entitled to exterminate wasps from their home area. They often nest in protected "secretive" places and go undetected until too late. Mowing near then will certainly "reward" the discoverer with an attack. For some of us, we are highly allergic to some kinds of wasps. For me, it is the red wasp.

Sure, his video was childish, but dead is dead when you are killing wasps, and you shouldn't welcome them to rebuild in some spot unknown nearby. We don't all live on 40 acres where they can nest in woodlands far from us. Many of us live in dense city settings.

Wasps have plenty of territory and are not endangered. They can live elsewhere with little to no impact.

Wasps, dead on sight. Bees, left alone.

Bees are rarely aggressive as wasps are. I had a bee hive in the attic of the laundry room where I was caretaker, but the gable was closed off from the attic of the house, so I had a professional out to get them out. He managed to save most of them before sealing up the breach in the eaves. I was glad to not have to kill them all, but I was charged with care, and I couldn't let them cause damage to the ceiling below them.

Not to mention some people are allergic to bee stings and there would be a chance someone could get stung.

I was ok with that possibility, as it was unlikely unless someone stepped on a bee barefoot or attacked them. I watched the bees for weeks and they were never aggressive.

On the other hand, if you only walk near a wasp nest, they often shift on the nest and watch you before dispatching a raider. They are much more territorial than the typical honeybee. Then again, honeybees in North America are descended from domesticated stock, whereas wasps are all wild species. Of course, Africanized bees are a different story.

^Pat, our Eco-system would be pretty screwed if wasps and bees are destroyed.

Nice backhand return about the jihadis. Do you dream about them, and are they wet?

...Nice backhand return ...

There's nothing nice about the Jihadis. They use knives, axes, guns, scimitars and bombs to kill any infidel who gets in their Mohammedan world domination. The Koran tells them to.

^I personally do not believe it is their holy book telling them to do this.

It is hate filled "preachers", choosing passages and using them out of context. To encourage the "pack" in acts of terror.

Back on topic; As a child, the most mindless destruction i enjoyed, was lobbing water filled balloons at friends, and occasionally strangers.
Thermite? Nope! Knowing my luck, my future employment would have been in Panto, as Captain Hook.

The great Sufi poet, Rumi speaks often of love:

“I want to see you.

Know your voice.

Recognize you when you
first come 'round the corner.

Sense your scent when I come
into a room you've just left.

Know the lift of your heel,
the glide of your foot.

Become familiar with the way
you purse your lips
then let them part,
just the slightest bit,
when I lean in to your space
and kiss you.

I want to know the joy
of how you whisper
"more”

I've caught bees in the house and put them back outside. Wasps get sprayed with bug killer. Nine times out of ten, bees won't attack/sting you. If you mess with the hive....... not smart.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Mindless destruction of the body causes the NHS millions.

... the same old shit.

That cavalier attitude might be OK for people who live in a state of splendid isolation in a sparsely-populated, spacious part of the world with a strong attitude to foreign freeloaders.

But for those people who live in the affected, heavily-populated parts of the world bombs are a constant threat. The bomb-makers live among us.
