Minors lying about their age

Not knowing the truth is not a defence in a court of law. Even if the minor lied, he is still a minor and the adult will be the one who is held responsible.

Minors lying about their age has happened time and time again in the past, long before the Internet, and many adults paid the consequences. Now the anonymity makes it much easier for adults to be 'sucked in' by minors, and it happens much more frequently.

That doesn't make you less innocent. You're just as guilty and you can be held responsible. Cutting all ties doesn't fix it.

I do not know if that is true. A friend of mine met someone on a gay dating site and went out with him a few times. He eventually got a call from the police because the kid was underage. The police told him they couldn't do anything because he met the kid through a site where you are supposed to be 18 to access the site. So my friend must have assumed the kid was at least 18, they did however warn him to be careful in the future.

A few months ago i decided to give Grindr a try. Fired it up, and a ton of messages floated onto my screen. One was from a guy who wanted to hook up but who only had a picture of his junk - no face. I wasn't really interested anyway but i figured I'd ask - how old are you? He had no hesitations about saying he was 15. Uhhhhhh. Delete. Fucking crazy. As far as i know, Grindr is an 18+ service as well, but with kids having iPhones these days you can never be sure.

Haven't we resolved the issue in this thread? The OP can talk to a lawyer if he's still nervous. Or is this just a general issue thread now?

So i look at it like this you got on a site thats for ADULTS only....thats decieving people and lying in itself....and i think against the law....then you lie to me and to to others about your age....then you admit to me your age and that you lied....I end all communication...

You need to go back to the adult only site you met him on and report him to the administration. He needs to be removed from the site so he doesn't do it again.

LOL
Ya'll must like em real young, (so long as it doesn't land you jail). Try dating more mature guys and shit like this won't happen.

If the OP is 18 and his date is 17 then fine, i dont see the big deal myself.

I thought you were fucking some older dude?

I used to lie about my age when I was a minor. I was such a shady bitch. If you ever have doubt just avoid the whole mess and cut ties with the person.

I thought you were doing oral with the 30 something year old guy?
