Thanks for the vent, as I don't go through family drama I'm sure this thread will be helpful for others to vent their frustration.
 
One of my favorite qoutes about family is from the Hal Hartley film, "Trust."

I sympathize with ya, brother. For me and this time of the year, what with the holidays and all, everything familial that could get on my nerves gets concentrated.

With a couple of exceptions, my friends are more family to me than my family is. I don't know what it is about the holidays that bring out the family DRAMA but I know what you're going through. My sister pissed me off today and that just started a whole new round of drama. I'm over it. Every Christmas this crap starts.

It's the old story. You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family.
