just ask them

they all know they are the center of the universe

even gay men have to deal with it from fag hags:grrr:

If you want to talk about misandry, talk about it. Google it. Etcetera.
It is a real word.
But don't say that misogyny isn't a problem.
But I would agree that it is a complicated problem.

On the other hand, what is insinuating itself into this thread, is the awareness that social theories get vulgarized and mis-used so that anything you say can and will be used against you in various courts of social opinion.
What can I say? Social groups have a life of their own. How do we let Peace have a chance? I say gently break down people's medieval isolationism.
Sometimes the best force is the gentlest.

Why don't we ever hear misandry being tossed around?

Why's it all about the women?

I had a baby-sitter who's name was Helen Andre. HATED men almost as much as she hated children. Called me "little beast". My dad referred to her as "Miss Andre" whenever she wasn't around and then my parents would laugh to each other. It was years before I got the joke.

BTW, before you get any ideas, I was an absolute angle. Though I was the one who pronounced her name "misandry" fist and consistantly, despite her constants corrections. "E-nun-ci-ate you little beast!"

My friend told me why her face looked the way it did, She had this face she'd make when she was cross, which was most of the time. She'd purse her lips so they looked like a cluster of inflamed haemorrhoids. So, remembering what my friend had said I asked her, as children will: "Do you really suck lemons?"

The woman was a humourless as a camel.

Really? What type? Triangle? Acute angle? obtuse? Supplementary?
complimentary?

:D Ha ha!:D It's 4 in the morning here and eyes are still in countervailing orbits as the result of some mind numbingly good head. So sue me!#:>

I couldn't claim to have been an angel...fear of lightning strikes ya know!(*S*)

BTW, yes. I'm painfully dsylexci.

I don't find it happens less, it, for some reason, isn't looked-down upon like misogyny. Women are fragile, and should be treated gently. Men are strong, so why does it matter if someone hates them.

Or something like that.

My only real point is the absence of the use of misandry in popular use indicates an imbalanced focus on relational behavior.

Why would I suppose misandry occurs less often than misogyny?

You have a point? Now that's fresh!:alien:

I don't know that it's any less common but I'd venture the social side-effects of misogyny are more prevalent. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be a woman...and not just because of the whole 'genitals that resemble an open wound 'for several days a month thing.

I also suspect misandry is more justified. We men a dogs, lets face it.

P.S. Just checked my little abridged pocket dictionary. Misandry isn't in there...Misogyny is though!
