For many Christians, it's all about believing that the hand of God will not bless this country and guarantee salvation for believers if they allow gay marriage to become a reality. They are taught to fight the evils in our society, which to them means homosexuality, or God will not grant them a place in Heaven. Think this is crazy? Talk to any evangelical or right wing Christian. They'll all tell you the same thing. They want eternal salvation, and they'll crush anyone on earth to please their God and obtain it.

Oh, I believe folks have the right to spew out most of whatever they choose, be it racial slurs, or gender slurs, or whatever stupid notions they wish to share.

Besides, I adore Miss Cali! She's definitely a plus in this situation and I'm not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. I can't believe the nay sayers are so stupid that they picked a beauty queen as their representative of moral America. What, were all the wrestlers taken? I love it!

Miss Cali is bound to stir up trouble. There's got to be a few ugly women and a few closeted men who are disgusted by women, who are members of the anti-rights side who'll pitch a fit about this. I mean, Miss America prances around half naked. That's hardly moral and she's hardly role model material. Hopefully selecting this spokesperson will break up their unity. How righteous can you be when you're wearing a bikini?
 
Hmm well I defended her on the other threads. But that was on the basis that she was merely answering a question honestly that was thrown at her.

But if she's gonna start actually pushing the issue then thats a different story. She is then actively trying to prevent equality. For which she deserves to be criticised.
