Yes, that explains why the post counts changed but not why the whole forum was deleted in the first place. It seemed to have a lot activity...just curious.

We have decided to let polls stay in the forums they were created in by you all. Its a lot of work to constantly move polls when they age out of the normal forums and into the poll archive. The poll archive didn't actually have much activity. When you look at the forums overview, it tells you how many people are in each forum. There were never any people in the poll archive forum so it became a graveyard. There are other matters such as size of the database, number of records, etc that eat away at performance. We periodically prune old posts without replies and stuff to also help with performance, and previoiusly, this has never interfered with post counts. Something went awry this time and the post counts were affected.

Some guys take pride in their sexual conquests, others in the size of their penis, and some, I guess, in their post count.

Let's hope everyone can adjust.....

I've never understood why people sometimes are so obsessed with their post count. Yes, if it happened in an intelligent thread that was very active and had 4,000 replies and it got deleted (and yes I already know what some of you are thinking ) then yeah, I can see being a little peeved.

And yet, somehow, life goes on...

I would hope most regular members would be active enough that if a certain thread got deleted their post count wouldn't go down to zero.

Just my 2 cents.
