But at the very least, it shows their bigotry is constant. They screwed over 7 other people too, with special needs and learning disabilities. I guess they just didn't want any "undesirables" at their prom, so they shipped them off to a country club 'concentration camp' for the evening.

Seriously though, I think it is fairly obvious that the only reason these people coveted their prom so much is because deep down they know High School is where they peak. For those bigots it is all downhill from here. I hope Constance uses her scholarship to achieve great things.

Trust me, my Facebook High School meetups have proven that people grow up and realize what they did was wrong and they come clean and teach their kids to be different.

This is the first I've heard that the students were part of the exclusion. The school district certainly had to be involved in planning the "secret" prom, but it was a fellow student that directed Constance to the fake one. It's possible that most students didn't know about the sham prom that Constance was sent to, and might be horrified at what happened; I'd encourage them to say so.

Students of Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, Mississippi, you need to join the 21st Century. Even the 20th would do. If you're not bigoted scumbags, you need to say so; otherwise it's reasonable to assume that you are.

I wish Constance would name the student who gave her the directions to the fake prom. We need to vilify that person across the entire web.

How dumb can these people be? They knew of the national attention that this has been getting in the press, and the negative light that they have been casted in...and they go and do this.

I am also a little bit confused on how they were able to "direct" her to a sham prom. Wouldn't you think that it would be advertised and posted where the new prom was going to be, instead of word of mouth.

A girl wanted to attend her public school’s prom with another girl, and the school board responded by cancelling prom for everybody.

She was lying about the motives for the secret prom. It was to exclude the Lesbians, the retards, and the other icky people. She claimed otherwise in her first post, then admitted that it wasn't true.

Very gay and yes, I grew up in a remote farming village in Canada back in the 80s... Had I even attempted to take a BF to the prom, my house would have been burned down.
