yesterday at the white house a man jumped a fence and got inside the presidential residence before being arrested. someone needs to tell Mitt Romney the election is over and he lost.

Mitt Romney is thinking about running for president again. If he wants to win he has to do it the old fashioned way by being a black muslim from kenya.

Yeah, believe or not the Republicans are actually considering running him in 2016, saying that he could win by campaigning against Obama and not Hillary. Apparently they missed the memo that Obama won't be running in 2016.

Hillary and democrats in general cannot divorce themselves from Obama, and will have to stand or fall by his record. She was part of his administration. And any criticism of Obama by her would alienate many of his supporters, Blacks in particular.

There are some things she could criticize Obama for without alienating the black vote, but she won't because she's in favor of the same brand of bullshit. Like it or not, she'll be running as a sequel.

About the maniac who ran onto the lawn, I'm surprised he wasn't shot on the steps. Though if the Secret Service were reasonably sure that he was unarmed they probably didn't want to create a PR disaster. Blood on the White House walls would be a terrible blunder, something expected of a third-world country. Strange that no one rushed to stop him sooner; just four minutes previous Obama had left by helicopter on the South lawn. You'd *think* they'd be out and about.

He has little to be ashamed of, so they are welcome to try.

Romney would make a fair president and he is a far better candidate than most of the potentials as the moment AND that is the Republicans problem. Romney is out of touch with the American people and not likely to win; most of the other potentials at the moment are far to the right of him. The Republicans simply don't have any body they can run in 2016 with a decent chance of winning as things currently stand. That could change significantly if the economy starts down again or the middle east goes terribly wrong though.

I think Paul Ryan has a decent chance. Do not discount the Catholic factor. Catholics have been more willing to vote repoblican that in the past, and an unpredictable percentage will switch to vote for a Catholic. Hispanics are predominately Catholic, and Ryan has spoken in favor of immigration reform. Conservative Protestants can find common cause with Catholics on many issues, including abortion. His biggest negative is immigration, and I certainly would not favor him over someone less obediant to his church on immigration. But any democrat will be pro immigration as well.

Ryan would be a good President too, like Romney he is more centric than the opposition makes him out to be. He is a bit of a policy wonk and so also has a problem connecting with the American people. I gather that he is not really interested in running though, he comfortable being the Republican's economic policy wonk in the House. They're both much closer to the center than most of the other potentials out there which is likely why the Left has done a good job of painting them as more radical than they are to undermine their potential.

I'd love to see Romney run...and lose...again.

They said on CNN the fence jumper was known to the Secret Service and that he was ranting about the atmosphere collapsing. He wanted to warn the president so he could get the word out. That probably had something to do with them not shooting the guy...ya think? It does seem surprising though that he was able to get that far before they took him down.

I haven't. During the 2012 campaign, Ryan was censured by the American Catholic bishops. Enough said.

SO, he's not a Rand lovin', christo-fascist right wing loon? He just plays one on the TV to deceive his base and get votes? Great, liar AND fraud, great character traits there.

I think you need to go look at what Ryan has actually said for the last decade. He didn't need any left-wing conspiracy to do him in. That's actually the thing about the right these days, they all show their ass off without any need for machinations from anyone else.

im pretty sure i saw a quote somewhere where Romney said he could be convinced to run. If Romney or runs or Ryan runs you will have two of the biggest liberals in the GOP going for the nomination, ironic? Not really, the GOP is full of tax and spend borrow and spend liberals.

Listen to Paul Ryan defend the nanny state in any of his 'welfare' plans, hes been living off the taxpayer his whole life and Romney has made his living fleecing taxpayers.

It is strange how he seems so convinced Obama is like "Our Bush" that we're all trying to run away from or something. Especially when the alternatives they offered the country were McCain and Romney. It's laughable to think we somehow got the worst possibility.

In order for there to be a renaissance there would have had to have been a naissance!

Poking at Ben with sticks may be amusing at times, but is anyone really surprised?

The idea that Ryan....or Romney would make a good president is risible.

I look at them in the context of a Republican presidency and what I generally know of them and in contrast with the other potential candidates to the right of them. I haven't looked at them in depth over the last few years since I don't see much chance of them winning the election. The fact that they are the best of the Republican field is really saying things about the state of the Republican party right now and its not good things.

As for playing one on TV, I think they are both typical politicians which means they are going to say what their audiences want to hear and since their target audiences are typically the Right they speak accordingly.

They could hardly be worse than a "community organizer" LOL whose only qualification is an ability to read from a TelePrompTer.The good thing is he spends much of his time playing golf.

I dedicate this to Mitt. "Once Twice Three Times a Loser."
