This is why the republicans are scrambling to enact these modern day poll tax / Jim Crow laws they're calling voter ID requirements.

It's pretty sad when the republican USA is more restrictive than Iran when it comes to human rights.

There are 23 countries that have mandatory voting. Voting should be encouraged, not restricted. It's yet another right the republicans are desperately trying to take away from Americans.

Hospitals in the U.S. are required by law to treat people in an emergency regardless of whether they have ID.

Some thing I heard a lot of flack from in stores and being about very verbally from both old and young black men in my neighborhood which is a black community was descent very loud and often regarding Pres. Obama accepting gay marriage. They didn't like that at all, even though I suspect a couple of the big mouths on the DL.
But I heard it a lot from complete strangers wanting to get a opinion from anyone or let their discomfort be known.

The point is simple, not that someone will vote for Romney, I wouldn't and I am white. But its not so cool as you may think that all black people will vote for Obama based on color or platform if they are not in favor of social issues just like the red neck whites in Georgia. Social issues are important to Democrats and Republicans its not a one way street.

My Point was clear and if you were with me on a daily trip about 2 months ago to the local mini-mart, gas station, grocery store, liquor store, auto parts store you would maybe shocked to hear how unpopular President Obama opinion was on accepting gay marriage. My area is about 87% black lower middle and low income neighborhood.

I've not heard people in my community be so vocal on a subject to anyone within ear shot since 9-11.
