MLB thread 2015

Just finished watching game 5 of the ALDS between the Blue Jays and the Rangers.
The BLue Jays didn't win that game as much as Texas handed it to them with three straight errors in the 7th inning.
Worst performance of baseball I've ever seen.

Had to work today and forgot to set the DVR so didn't see it. Bet Texas fans wish they hadn't seen it too!:help:

I had to feel good for the Cubs... all those young sluggers will test to the limits either my young Mets stud rotation or the dominant two Dodgers studs, Kershaw and Greinke. Hoping Jacob de Grom proves as outstanding as he was in the win over Kershaw in the first game. Supposedly both Matt Harvey and Noah Syndegaard are looked at as possibly pitching if need be in relief... if de Grom could hold the fort for 7 or so the Mets are going all in with their young studs and betting the Dodger bullpen will leak first if Greinke holds tough for six or seven. Whichever club gets in will have to be ready to play at the top of their game as the Cubs are young, powerful and exciting. So many years of struggle, with rare pushes into the postseason but this club looks very strong and worth keeping an eye on.

Yep Gumby, two interesting series for the league titles... the Cubs are going to be a tough opponent with good pitching especially in Lester and Arietta and sometimes overwhelming young power hitting. I think our starters can hold them but our offense has to spread out better than an all star showing by Daniel Murphy last night!

So Im not sure who to root for in the World Series. Im a die hard yankee fan so logic would say root for the royals but I like the team that the mets have. At the end of the day, this is a great story for both franchises but I think im gonna root for KC cuz they kicked torontos ass and i hate the blue jays.

Blue Jays have too many whiny prima donnas on their team, joey bats at the top of that list.
I'm glad they lost.

Kansas City was touted as the AL club that best could neutralize the Mets best attributes and so far that's playing out. Hopefully the Mets make adjustments after they get back to New York and are more prepared and flexible in their approach against KC. Still I love my Mets and I'm really proud of them but it would be really nice if they can make it a competitive series and not almost collectively run out of gas at the worst possible time. If KC wins, though I won't be too upset.... a mid market team without all the pricey stars winning the World Series shows you don't need a superstar lineup/ starting staff and spend in the neighborhood of 180 million and up to be successful.

The World Series ended the way I thought it would.. with the Royals on top.
The Mets had great starting pitching but their bullpen and defense was always suspect and it finally showed in the World Series.
They have nothing to be ashamed over though, they gave it their all, Kansas City was simply the better team.

Yep Ninja and Gumby... offseason has started and KC earned their win over the Mets. Nothing to be sorry for, Mets fans....we had an incredible, amazing ride getting us to the WS and only 2 teams can get that far. The only thing I feel bad about isn't so much the loss but the way we lost as the critical mistakes, bullpen unreliability and too many people struggling offensively at the same time were too much to overcome... KC simply was the more daring, opportunistic team. After thirty years without a WS title congratulations to the Kansas City Royals on their WS championship and thank you Mets for giving us much more than we could have hoped for or expected before the season began. The end sure hurt but getting to the WS was a thrill!
