I forgot to post this last evening when I got home.
Approximately a month ago I posted about someone passing me in the shoulder.
I got feedback on why it was supposedly "okay" or "justifiable" to some.
(I vehemently DISAGREED with such feedback, too.)
Apparently the state of Minnesota, did, too.
I recall posting the specific statute here as well as on Facebook.
The city apparently thought some people needed a reminder (and I agree with them).
In the same area that I posted about before, this is now sitting:
The sign states,
"
STATE LAW
Unlawful to Pass on Shoulder.
MN Statute 169.18 Subd 4"
Just glad to see the city upholding the law, and not just siding with those whom have ridiculous justifications for breaking the law.
(Yes, I realize that taking that picture I, too, was breaking the law, merely to make a point, which is still unlawful. As you can see from the photograph, there was no traffic in front of, nor behind me. If you look close enough in the pic, you can see the rear-view mirror is empty.
