Vacation is officially over.
Got back to the apartment today at about 2:30 PM CDT.
It was a great week at the cabin. Wish my brother could have joined us.
When we returned, he was at work at his second job (Domino's).
I'm afraid for what Mom and Dad will find on the tracker. . . . Or if they even have a vehicle...
I've been working to put things away, and get prepared for tomorrow - back to work.
Have everything packed away again. Checked my 100 e-mail messages. Down to 2 in the inbox.
Needed this vacation, honestly. Have two audits beginning tomorrow, and a board meeting on Thursday.
Will be a busy week, but I'm also looking forward to getting back to a routine, too!
Don't get me wrong, I do absolutely love my vacations, even had a hard time leaving today!
But I also like my routines, too!
I hope you are all doing well, thank you for the posts during my absence - they are much appreciated!

When do the schools open in MN?
FL are already opening
Boston is late this year - the 9th or thereabouts.
We open the 2nd, but then they have a four day weekend for Labor Day.

Generally, September 8th (after Labor Day). Some are opening earlier, however.
Some schools elected to start a week earlier than Labor day last year.
Truthfully, I don't really care about that aspect. I handle Administration, not programming for the schools.
I can tell you when the teacher contracts go through. I can tell you I work through my summers usually.
I leave the Curriculum items to the Director of Curriculum while I work with Superintendents and Business Managers.
So yeah, it mainly depends on each district. I know a lot of our clients will follow the Minneapolis or Saint Paul public school's calendars.
For me, my work never stops. I'm "In Session" nearly every day. As are the Directors and Superintendents.
Most of them are lucky if they can get a week or two off during the school year.
