Did the two get laid off, or slit their own wrists? I could believe either one. #-o

Yea when you go back to work after vacation it's so depressing

Exactly! :( Hard to get back into the groove of everything.

Was there at about 5 AM today to try to catch up!

They voluntarily left.

One of them didn't even give a notice, though. She quit while her supervisor was out!

The other employee gave his three week notice, as required by company policy.

Not sure where he's going yet. He apparently hasn't signed a contract yet.

I know the 5 AM days at the warehouse are the worst so I feel your pain.

That's really unprofessional not to give any notice.

Yeah, I hear you there. I'm working 5 AM to 3:30 PM these days.

Yeah, I agree there too. Although three week notice is crazy. But it's in the company manual. Don't get me wrong, I know why. It's very hard to find people in Education Finance. The staff that are employed by companies such as mine are only there a short period of time. Some of them only a few years, maybe 2-3.

I was with SBS for 6.5 years, and only left because of the high demand. Had things been more manageable, I would have probably stayed a lot longer. It's a very challenging field, and there is a lot of turnover because of that, I feel. Workload management however is another aspect that can be resolved internally.

Because of the complexity of the work we do, and the lack of professional employees in our field, the company has requested we give them an extra week to find a staff member for replacement.

Ain't that the truth

Yea I think it's a very good thing you got out of there Dustin. You know money isn't enough for you to live miserably

I agree wholeheartedly. I was miserable there, honestly.

Wasn't a life at all. I'm thankful I left when I did.

Though I felt bad the company closed shortly after. I needed to protect my own well-being.

I think things will slow down where I am at now soon. It's not a constant hectic schedule like before.

Sorry, guys. I neglected to respond to these posts. :(

I've always taken 1000's of photos. I love going back over them years later, and reliving all those wonderful times. :D It's so beautiful up at the lake. I can see why your family loves it up there.

Yeah, I used to have a film camera, believe it or not. Just a cheap one.

Shortly after I got into Digital Photography. I need to keep a central location for all of my photos, though. I've been through so many computers I can't call that a safe place. Nor are memory cards as I lose them!! Need to store them to the cloud.

Yeah, I love the cabin a lot. We all do! So relaxing up there. Now if I could just break the radio. Dad plays that all the time, and it's like, no we're up here to relax, shut the damn radio off! I like to be completely unplugged! Plus, we only get one station.

I have an archive of lots of prints.

We had a hiatus as we wrapped down our film camera before I popped for a decent digital.
Still not exactly what I want, but I can take pics again.

I'm fine with the camera I have, honestly. Not the best quality, but it does the job. Truthfully, I use my iPhone for most of my photographs at this point. It's the most convenient.

Dustin, I bet you had a few chilly nights, eh? Great for sleeping. Do you have loons on your lake? I love their lonesome, haunting sound.

We did indeed. Some evenings it got down to about 40 degrees. Dad tried to make a small fire in the wood stove, well it had the cabin at about 100° F. We do have a few loons on the lake, yes! Gotta have the State bird. :) I do as well, honestly. Last time we were there, I took a video of them.

Hey Dustin  Welcome back. Those images are just beautiful. I would never leave that place. I hope you're refreshed for getting back to the grind at the mine... ;) (*8*)

Thanks, Bill. (*8*) I know, it was very difficult to leave that place, honestly! I really didn't want to come home yesterday! I WAS refreshed this morning. Now I'm drained again. One day is all it takes. I hope you're doing well, Bill. (*8*)

That's good

Most certainly. :)

Sorry to hear you're down a couple of sets of hands at work.

Glad you seem to be doing OK so far.

I'm still working my way around, trying to stay sort of current.

Take a look at Leftovers with Lefty - I posted an interesting road trip I'd love to take - my wife saw the share on FB and loves it, too.

Because one the staff members was another Senior Assistant Manager, I may have a heftier workload.

To address your comment, the left voluntarily. Not sure if you got that far into the posts...

I actually checked that out already! That looked very cool indeed! Now to get to Scotland..... :D

Yes, I saw the answer to my question shortly after sending the post comment.

Yes, to get to Scotland.
I do have my passport, so that part's taken care of.

Figured you had. :)

I have my passport, but it's locked in my fire safe.

Problem is, I'll be darned if I know where I put the key...

It's here somewhere, but I seem to have misplaced it after the move!

I know it's around, though.
