I'm okay. Had a long day.

Minnesota Department of Education fucked up today, though.

They reported our General Education Entitlement and Special Education Entitlement as the same number.

Problem? They're about 23 Million dollars apart from one another.

We went from the state saying we had revenue entitlements of 25 Million total to 45 Million total.

This figure is far from accurate, the 45 Million. 25 Million is correct.

This only includes our state portion. Overall, our revenues run approximately 35 Million.

The above data is for one school. I work with 6. . . . it was wrong on all of them.

Here's MDE (Minnesota Department of Education's) response.

SUBJECT: August 30 IDEAS Payment

In the August 30 IDEAS Combined Payment Report, the current Special Education entitlement for charter schools was inadvertently written over by the General Education entitlement. As a result, the total entitlements may be larger than they should be, resulting in a larger August 30 payment. The General Education entitlement will be revised on September 15 and the payments will catch up to the proper amount.

Please be aware that your charter school may have been paid ahead of schedule and that future payments will be reduced until the total payments made are at the correct cumulative disbursement percentage. We apologize for this error and any confusion that this has caused.
