  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

modern architecture and design

Fallingwater is the symbol of harmony between nature and architecture. I prefer Prairie style homes of FLW but almost all of his works are masterpieces.

I used to give tours of a FLW house in Manchester, NH. It was truely one of the nicest spaces I've been in.

YOU LIVED IN THAT HOUSE??????
One of my favorite houses in the area!!! It looks very narrow, does it seem that way on the inside. FLW did two similar houses counting the one I think your writing of, on nearly the same block.
The first time I saw it, I said to myself that has to be a FLW house.I got home and hopped on the web and found out it was.
He was way ahead of his time. I often wish someone would study his designs and then adapt them for today.

Santiago Calatrava's design for the transit hub at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan has been delayed 2 years and is now scheduled to open in 2011.

My friend recreated the Burj Dubai in Google Sketchup, he got it exactly right.
