Modesty is a modern slavery

Yes. My husband tells me I must be modest.

Because, otherwise, I will be molested.

Your butch husband coerced you his 5th century lifestyle

Bad comparison.

Modesty is a choice. Slavery wasn't.

Succumbing to societal pressures is really different than the total oppression of slavery.

It's dramatic. It's edgy. But it's not true.

Then there's the whole matter of involuntary modesty no longer being modesty, but a rule.

Understandable ^^

I'm just saying, who was ever "coerced" into slavery? The use of the term is purely propaganda.

Modesty, whether voluntary or socially mandated, is a custom, and railing against it is a bit of tilting at windmills. One leads the enlightenment and works to bring new freedom where people are thirsty enough to take up the cause.

It is a mindset one seeks to chains, not exactly shackles to break.

There's many people that have bareback sex and other risky behaviors that would agree with that modesty is like slavery shit until they come down with something . There's times when being humble can save your life. When you start to think you're a know it all and that you are untouchable, that's when you need a reality check. Modesty is about being human. We all have a breaking point. It's nice to see where your strengths and weaknesses lie but don't push it. This is why people end up getting fucked up and can't feel sorry for them because they put themselves in that situation.

Facing the music is also part of growing up....the mirror is always truthful....sadly.

I love this line. It is so truthful, physical or otherwise. I often feel some people need a long hard look in the mirror at their inner selves. Do you like what you see?

Well, if that's what you think. I think modesty is like leaning over a solid protective wall. The wall giving you protection but leaning to much over it, the wall could turning into cell brick, entrapped you.
So, I think even modesty needs "moderation" if that making sense ^^
