I realized this when Cardinal Bernidein kicked Gay Dignaty out of Chicago churches.
When the Churchs were about to close, he changed his mind (money).
I left the "church" in 1984 and my life has been so much better.

Show me where I said Jesus didn't exist. I said that saying he did is a fact is wrong. Plato isn't held up as the son of God who would wash away my sins and save me from hell. Jesus is. It's only courteous to stay on topic; more courteous to not come in attacking the substance underlying a thread.

I see your reasoning powers are a bit short -- go back and read what I said about Jesus and Plato; it's pretty obvious that you misread it.

Since the Southern Baptists aren't a government (no matter how mcuh many of them would like to be) and don't have a legal system... well, your comment isn't sensible. FYI, jurists in France and the U.S., for two examples (with entirely different legal theories) have shown the there is enough evidence for the existence of Jesus that it would hold up as fact in court -- the French one, in fact, was an atheist set on establishing that Jesus' existence wasn't a "fact"... and ended up a Christian.

I can tell you haven't really looked into many religions -- logic and sanity are quite strong points in at least Christianity and Judaism. Your ignorance also shows in your statement about "spiteful and hateful toward gays".

Lastly, believing in something with substantial evidence is not being childish -- throwing around silly comparisons is.
